The SUV was quiet, save for soft chatter from the backseat.

Jaesuemin giggled as Ryujin tried to braid her hair, while Jiwon recited the alphabet for the third time, earning a patient smile from Jisoo. Hailey was humming a nursery rhyme, her head resting on Taehyun's lap, who held a juice pouch like it was treasure.

Chaeyoung sat near the window, her hand lightly resting on her bump. Her phone buzzed with a text from the estate confirming dinner prep.

Routine. Everything was routine.

They'd just picked the kids up from school. There were no escort vehicles today—just the driver, who doubled as one of their most trusted guards. He was experienced, quiet, and deadly when needed.

But even he didn't expect what happened next.

At the last red light before their estate gate, the signal flickered green—but the car didn't move.

The driver frowned, reaching for the gear.

Then, a blur of motion.

The rear windshield shattered with a precise blast. In less than three seconds, a dense cloud of white smoke filled the interior. Tear gas—non-lethal, but meant to disorient. The driver reached for the emergency trigger beneath his seat, but a man in a full black mask appeared outside the driver's side door, fired a stun dart point-blank—

The driver collapsed against the wheel.

"Get down!" Jisoo screamed, already shifting over the center to shield the children, her arm thrown around Ryujin and Jaesuemin.

Chaeyoung yanked open the opposite door, only for another masked figure to appear—grabbing her arm, wrenching her back against the car. Her pregnant belly slowed her movements, but not her rage. She fought back—nails clawing, knee flying—until a second assailant stunned her from behind.

"Run!" Jisoo cried, pushing Jiwon and Taehyun toward the other door—

But there was nowhere to run.

They were boxed in.

Two black vans had pulled up on either side. One in front. One behind. Doors slid open in sync—six attackers total.

Jiwon tried to bite the man grabbing him. Jaesuemin screamed, clutching Jisoo's leg. Ryujin threw her tiny fists at the attacker who grabbed her. Even little Taehyun kicked and wailed.

Jisoo fought like hell—ignoring the pain in her spine as she shielded the children with her body. She elbowed one man so hard he dropped to the pavement. But another slammed a baton across her shoulder, knocking her sideways. She fell hard, stars flashing across her vision.

Chaeyoung tried to crawl to Hailey, who was now crying, disoriented and terrified. She reached her fingertips toward her—only to be yanked back by her hair and dragged toward the van.

"Don't you touch them!" she screamed.

"GET OFF THEM!" Jisoo roared, voice raw.

But it was over.

One by one, the children were pulled from their arms. Jiwon last, his small voice sobbing out, "Mommy!Mommy, don't let them—!"

And then—
Syringes. Needles. Sedatives.

Jisoo saw Jaesuemin's eyelids flutter shut. Chaeyoung saw Hailey slump in the stranger's arms.

She reached out blindly for Jisoo—fingers barely brushing her wrist before her world faded to black.

The vans vanished into the city. No witnesses. No surveillance. The estate never saw them leave.

Only silence remained.
