Once Satoshi was out of the room, Sonica sat down slowly on the bed and said softly, "That was really nice of you to comfort my son. I really mean it."
Knuckette looks away and replied, "I had to. But I wasn't trying to turn him against you if that's what you think."
Sonica shook her head and said, "No. I didn't think that. Knuc? I gotta be honest, I don't really hate you, I only said that because I was so angry. I wasn't ready to date anyone after loosing my husband last year"
Knuckette sighed and asked, "I know. Manette already told me. Will you ever consider?"
Sonica answered, "Maybe."
Sonica sighed deeply and said sadly, "Look, I'm relieved you're taking this slow for me but I...."
Knuckette then said as she sadly sighed, "I, I haft to take things slow. After that disaster of a wedding, I don't wanna make the same mistakes all over again even in spite of Jamie and Rogue. I can't hold you or hug you like I use to nor can I kiss you no matter how much I may want to. I'm sorry..."
That was when Knuckette sighed deeply as she placed a hand on Sonicas stomach and said, "Besides. I take full responsibility for this."
Sonica laid next to her gently, even when she gave her a second chance, Knuckette felt insecure. Sonica had a guilty expression while looking at Knuckette bandaged arms.
The female blue hedgehog muttered while shaking", "I'm sorry. I really am. I already agreed to give a second chance Knuc."
Knuckette knows she's feeling sorry but what should she do? She can't comfort her without the risk of being slapped in the face.
Sonica sighed deeply before she wrapped an arm around her as she placed her head on her chest gently. She sighed deeply and said, "Your body is as warm as I remembered it would be."
Knuckette whispered as she slowly cuddled her while wrapping her arms around her, "Oh sugar cakes. I promise things will be alright."
That was when she recalled something.
Sonica didn't know what she was doing when Knuckette reached onto the table.
That was when she showed Sonica something beautiful.
It was a brand new necklace. It was gold with a red rose in the middle

She then said to Sonica softly, "I know it doesn't replace the one Raito gave you. But It was the closest I can think of. Besides, the jewelry store didn't have any more like the one he gave you."
Sonica smiled a little as she said, "It's perfect. Thank you. That was real sweet Knuc."
<meanwhile at the Lobby>
Satoshi told Knuckettes parents the whole entire story that he heard from his mother.
Lenny-Les asked, "And that's how it all happened?"
Satoshi replied, "Yes sir. I'm terribly sorry that this was troubling."
Lockette said sadly, "Sometimes we feel troubling too. But we just wished we somehow coulda been more supportive of our daughter when she married your mother. But now she carry's a grudge. We don't blame Sonica for hating us."
Satoshi looked at the photo of her mother with Knuckette and said, "It's not like that. She's just angry. I know my Mom doesn't carry grudges easily."
Lockette then said while in tears as she comfort her crying husband, "You're right. We're sorry. Forgive us. We're so sorry."
Satoshi replied, "I'm not the one you should apologize to but all is forgiven. I promise you two that."
