Lunch Break

It was 12:00 at noon and it was lunch break.

Sonica told her workers and in-laws, "Alright everyone. It's lunch time. We only have an hour and no exceptions 'So Haruka says.' unless you stopped for a cup of coffee."

Haruka chuckled and said, "Very well."

Scourgia asked, "Nice, say doll wanna get some chilidogs at that chilidog stand? My treat and I'll pay."

Sonica replied, "Thank you Scourgia but no thank you. I'm getting some lunch at the diner. I forgot to pack a lunch for myself this morning."

The group shared a laugh for a bit before they went to lunch.

Fion tagged along with Sonica cause he wanted to try out that new salad bar at the diner.

Fion told Sonica as they entered, "So anyways, I had a crush on Salen (Say-Len) and Scourgia had a thing for this guy 'who is an old friend of mine'. It was no doubt good."

Sonica replied to her with maturity, "Good to hear for you Fion. So when are you going to ask him out?"

Fion answered his question with a blush, "That depends if he is into me."

Sonica said to him, "Well I know he's not into me anymore."

Fion chuckled and asked, "Why's is that?"

Sonica answered, "Cause she said this on my wedding day with Raito."

(Flashback)

Salen entered the bridal chambers as he said, "Hey. Thought I come here to see the lucky bride."

Sonica chuckled and said, "Geez Sal. You're such a tease, even if we were together."

Like a dramatic actor, Salen said in a calm and Romeo style tone, "Well Raito is lucky to know he'll be with a wonderful woman. I mean, you dear, Sonica look wonderful and beautiful in that wedding gown. It is a pity for me though..."

He gives Sonica a rose and said as he took her hand, "I thought I was going to be the man to make you happy."

Sonica was a little dumbstruck as she said, "Sal..."

Salen chuckled before he stands up and said, "Heheh. Don't worry Sonica. I mean we agreed to be friends after all. But I'm serious. You look beautiful."

(Flashback Ends)

Fion 'having hope to have a relationship with Salen' said in relief, "Thank God..."

He then instantly asked, "Speaking of asking out, don't you think you can find someone too? It's been 8 months now."

Sonica replied to her with a sigh, "I don't think I'm ready for dating Fion. Besides the boys are not ready for a new Father nor am I ready for a new husband. They and I probably won't be ready. I mean I just cremated my beloved Raito 8 months ago."

Fion then said, "It doesn't haft to be a man. It can be a woman, Sonica."

She replied just after she sat down on the bar, "Thats a nice suggestion Fion but I told you before, I swore off going out with women, after what happened to me 11 years ago."
