Another Day... Another Fight

Another glorious day in the Netherlands, December's busy with work, November's tinkering away, October is dealing with things. Meaning the children, Finn, Sage, and Daryl had a free day at the fight club. Bessie was there as well, she had come to the city to visit her friends and to see the fight club. However, not even 30 minutes after Bessie got there Sage and Finn managed to get into an argument, leaving Daryl to give Bessie the tour on his own.

June had his hands full keeping Flare from burning half the city and revealing themself too soon. Leaving Nari alone to wander the streets following the instructions on the torn, and partially singed piece of paper Flare had given her nearly a week ago. It was a poor, simple set of directions and an address, Nari had no idea how to follow the note so she simply punched the address into her phone's GPS and followed that. The GPS led her to the abandoned amusement park, her nose wrinkled in disgust.

"Oh... yeah no if this dump is the place im out... no... nuh-uh... I can not... will not be seen in a place this hide-" Nari's rant was cut off from a very shrill voice shouting 'Hi' at her. She slowly turns around to see a kid in an orange hoodie with glasses shouting and waving at her from the top of the carousel.

Nari looked around, hoping the kid was waving at someone else, but she was alone, he was waving her over into the old, smelly, rat infested amusement park. She hesitantly waves back and steps past the broken police tape and barrier gates. A low rumble, like thunder echoes somewhere behind her. Nari takes one last glance behind her then filly enters the amusement park's borders.

The first place she goes is to the carousel where the kid in the orange jacket spotted her. He was still up there, and it seemed he was stuck.

"Hollooooooooo!" He said in a cheerful manner.

"Uhm... hai? What are you doing up there?" Nari inquired.

"Uh, ya know... chillin" The kid replies, clearly lying.

"You're stuck aren't you..." Nari said in a deadpan tone.

"Yeah... I'm stuck" He answers honestly, looking down shamefully.

"How'd you even get up there anyways?" Nari asked.

"Oh just practicing my powers ya know?" The boy responded nonchalantly.

"Powers? Wait... you also have powers?" Nari asked, now starting to understand why Flare would give her this address.

"Yeah! Wait, you can do stuff too?! Did you get the app?" The boy asks curiously.

"Nope... stayed at a lame hotel, woke up with powers and a pesky mask." Nari replied.

"Ooohhhhh neat... can you help me down?" He asked, seeming to get a bit scared from being up there with no way down.

"Yeah uh.. Just jump." Naro answers nonchalantly.

"What...?" The boy says hesitantly.

"Don't question it, just jump, you wont feel a thing." Nari said.

"Wha- ok" The kid quickly agreed and jumped before Nari was ready. Thankfully she managed to sing out a few notes before he hit the ground. The orange sweater kid landed face first on his glasses, but quickly got up without a scratch.

"See... told you so." Nari said confidently.

"Woah! That was so cool I didn't feel a thing! By the way names Daryl, you are?"

"Nari" She replied simply.

"Nice to meet you North" Daryl said. His response threw Nari off.

"Uh... it's Nari, not North." She corrected.
