Chapter 10: A good attempt at a romantic date
And so we head out, Tommy still cursing about what happened over at my dorm room.
"What, is the little boy sad that I kicked his lollipop away?" I ask, trying to act all babyish and that crap.
"But, but mommy! My date kicked me! And it hurts! I have a boo boo! Look what you've done Kate! So much for being a role model!"
"I can live with that title," I say with a smirk, knowing that he got a taste of his own medicine. Even if it was only a 3mg pill.
"Copy cat," he mutters, then punches my arm. And I kick him in the place again. Man that feels good, I thought to myself about it, beating up a boy with nothing that he can do about it.
Except he can. Man, I should have seen it coming.
And he leans in and kisses me again on the lips. I should really get used to this.
And as we walk to the pizza parlor, a basket in his hand, a blanket in mine, we continue to kiss each other. Maybe this is what love is.

She is a great partner, I thought to myself.
And possibly a great girlfriend.
Maybe this is what love feels like, I thought. I just hope she agrees.
We order the pizza (half pepperoni, half Hawaiian[her favorite]) and settle down on a nice grassy hill. And as she lays out the blanket, I pull out the stuff I packed in the basket and reveal soda and cake. Frosted cake, that is, that has blue frosted words written on the top 'first date' hoping to impress her over the sweet stuff and hoping that she has a sweet tooth.
She agrees. Or at least she seems to.
Looks like I've done a good attempt at a romantic date.
I just hope she agrees.

"Good night honey."
"Don't you call me honey, Tommy."
"Whatever the princess asks for." and I know she is in love with this when she doesn't kick me back.
"Aww, the princess did fall for the romantic prince then."
"Whatever," she snickers. "llama head."
"Llama head? Oh, no, no, no, I think I'm more of a big, cute, cuddly panda bear, don't you think?"
"No. You're a llama head."
"If that's what the princess wants." "Good night princess."
"Good night llama head." and then she turns around, closes the door, and I head down the long hallway of similar dorms, heading to my own similar room.

The date was a success! And now he has a new nickname: llama head. Took me a little bit of time to think about that nickname, but I got some help from the 'Brunette Undercover' series, mostly the first book. Those are also great books to read if you are into spy kind of books.
