The first lesson of the day, magical beasts. We're all sat in the stables to the side of the courtyard. today's lesson was all about magical horses, hippogriffs and thestrals. The class is filled with familiar faces, like Ginny and Theo, but also a few new faces, such as Cedric, Luna and Blaise. Our teacher teaching us how to care for these beasts. She splits us up into groups of 3, Ginny, Cedric and Luna, as group 1. Leaving me, with Blaise and Theo. She takes us to the field, where there is two thestrals in it. Such a magnificent creature. I find comfort in seeing them, even though it's rather sad. Theo and Blaise spend the lesson looking confused. I approach the beast in the field. I reach my arm out, and gently brush it's mane. I smile while grooming the thestral. I feel like I'm in my happy place for a moment before turning to the boys. "Do either of you guys want a go?" I ask, concsious I'm being sefish. "We can't see it" Blaise judges. I frown, looking to Theo. "He's right... We can't see it" Theo confirms. I turn to look at the thestral again. I give it another brush, as the class gets wrapped up and dismissed. We all make our way back inside of the hogwarts courtyard.

I make my way down towards the lake, sitting in the usual spot. I look out at the water, as it's still. I feel calm. Thinking my dad has finally heard my plea. Just as I get lost in my thoughts, Theo walks up and taps my shoulder. "Hey, Seraphina" He greets, sitting beside me closely. I lean my head on his cloaked shoulder. as we look out to the water, in a moment of silence. "Draco saw you, in the teachers chamber" He continues. "I was worried about dad" I answer, Theo nods in agreement. After another pause, Theo lifts my head towards his. "You know you could be unstoppable" I smile, knowing what he means. "One day" I nod, knowing I shouldn't be hiding myself. Theo kisses me, "Will you be my date, to the yule ball?" I smile widely. "Aren't you worried about everyone?" I ask. "Not with you on my arm" He confidently proclaims. As he holds me by the lake. I lean my head on his shoulder, "I'll be your date" We both smile, before we walk our seperate ways and go to out classes before lunch. Theo has to sit through an awkward potions lesson, while I have to be bored during flying. That's the thing about knowing how to apparate. Flying classes seem very pointless.

Following on from lunch, there's a free period. I'm sat in the library with Hermione and Ginny. We're studying for out upcoming OWL's test. We're all looking over our respective books. The girls doing potions revision, and both look a bit stuck. I look over their book and smoothly tell them the answer. Both girls look amazed. I smile blissfully. Going back to my herbology book. It's not long before the conversation turns to the upcoming yule ball. "Harry asked me to be his date" Ginny excitedly proclaims. The girls giggle, Hermione adds, "Rons asked me too" Both the girls look across the table at me. I look up from my book, to be met with the stares. "Do you have a date yet?" Hermione asks. I smile widely. " I do have a date ladies" But I don't let them know who. That can remain my secret till the day of the school dance.

We arrive to the great hall for dinner a little late. Everyone was already in the hall eating, including all the professors. I see Severus out the corner of my eye, which brings a smile to me, knowing he's safe. I also see Theo sat with his friends at Slytherin's table.  We sit at our Gryffindor table, and begin to eat our dinner. I don't notice Draco and Mattheo's gaze upon me, as I continue to talk to the girls. After a few moments, Professor Dumbledore stands at his podium, ready to make an announcement. The hall fills with silence. "The Yule Ball will be in 2 days. Tomorrow all students will be allowed to visit Hogsmeade to get their formal clothes. Dinner is now dismissed." He leaves the hall, followed by all the profressors. A few of us still eat some dinner, but then we all walk back to our common rooms for the night.

I sit on my bed in my dorm, reading the book I took from my dad's chambers. Reading over all the spells, that I know well. It really is just a comfort read. Ginny comes and sits on the end of the bed. "That's an advanced book" She judges. "A friend gave it to me" I unconvincingly remark. I glance over at the clock. "Your date isn't in Gryffindor is he?" She then spits out. "So what if he isn't?" I speak up back. This outbursts surprises Ginny. "I'm not an innocent little girl" I add, putting my book away, and leaving the dormitory promptly, making my way towards the headmasters office. I walk around a few halls, and use my occlumency skills to scan the area, making sure I am not being followed with time around. I can read no minds in the vicinity. It's dark and late as I walk to the office. I knock on the headmasters door, before stepping inside.

I walk up the spiral stone staircase, up into the main office. To find both professors stood there behind the desk. "Sir?.... Dad?..." I call out as they both fall silent. I walk into an awkward atmosphere. They both look at me. ""What's going on?" I ask. Severus looks at me, before stepping forward. "You think it's time. You think I'm ready" I interrupt him, after reading his mind. Professor Dumbledore speaks, "Miss Serephina, you was worried about the secret. I think you deserve to be who you are." I look up at Severus, as he nods, I can see concern in his eye, but I smile and hug him. A weird sight for Albus to witness. Severus's proud but deadpan voice fills the room, "Seraphina Serlessa Severus" I smile hearing my full name fully. "At the school dance, the truth will come out." I nod strongly. "I'm ready" I smile, knowing who everything is about to change.
