His Daughter.

Chapter 12.

The great hall is decorated with party decorations. A big open space, for the dancing, loud music playing. The students and even the teachers are all wearing their finest formal attire. Some professors are in amongst the students, enjoying the school dance while chaperoning. However not, Severus Snape, he's stood on Dumbledore's right hand side. Being very observant of everything that is going on in the great hall. Severus uses his occlumency skills, to know that I'm on the other side of the door nervously. He leans to Albus, "She's ready" He says staying emotionless. Albus Dumbledore, motions to make an announcement, standing up at his podium. All the students silence, turning to him to pay attention. He motions to clear a walkway, between the podium and the great hall doors. "I have to make an announcement and apology" Albus starts, confusing many of the students. "What do you think this is about, Mattheo?" Draco whispers to Mattheo, Mattheo shrugs. "We haven't been truthful about our new student" Albus continues, "She will remain in Gryffindor, but after a big discussion, she want's to be known by her real name." A large shocked gasp erupts across the hall, as Albus magically opens the great hall doors, at the exact moment. "Seraphina Snape" A large silence falls across the hall. As I walk in with Theo by my side. In the stunning black dress, immediately feeling the pressure of all eyes on me. I find myself looking up at Severus, as his straight face, shows a slight glimmer of proudness towards his daughter.

Mattheo and Draco looks like they've seen a ghost. They cannot beleive Theo is stood beside me. I smile, as I look around the room. Catching eyes on Ginny who looks very shocked, and Harry beside her who looks equally as shocked. Just like that, the weight has lifted and I can finally be me. I smile at Severus, who approvingly nods, before Albus then goes "The dance may continue" he walks out the great hall, leaving all the other professors to chaperone. I guess he doesn't like dealing with this many students together. I still feel everyone staring at me. A moment later, Pansy walks over to us. "I knew you looked familiar, you do look like him." she tells, before joining Draco and Mattheo. Theo leans in to me, "care to dance?" he whispers into my ear. I nod, as we walk over to the dancefloor and dance together. His arms around my waist, my arms around his neck. I can still feel all eyes on me. I guess this is the life of a professor's child.

Draco leans in to Mattheo, "That'll explain why she was in the teacher's chambers the other night" he says. Mattheo keeps his eyes on Seraphina. Draco notices this. "All of a sudden she's the one we all want" Draco adds. "That's why she wasn't bothered by me, back at the Three Broomsticks" Mattheo puts it out there. "She is a powerhouse." Draco confirms. They give each other a look, and walk over to Seraphina and Theo on the dance floor. Seraphina whispers into Theo's ear, "Your friends are coming over" giving warning to Theo. We break our embrace just at the two friends reach us. I notice Mattheo's glimpse in his eye. It makes me nervous. I kiss Theo's cheek, telling him I will be right back. Knowing I should check in on my friends too. "You knew didn't you?" "You knew who she was" Both boys chime in towards Theo, almost reprimanding him for not telling them. Theo shakes his head. "I didn't know, to begin with, but I did find out earlier" Theo notices Mattheo's look, slapping his arm. "She's mine" He warns, as he walks off.

Seraphina walks over to Ginny and Harry, both of which take a shocked step back. "So this is what you meant?" Ginny asks, finally understanding everything. "So Mr Pippen does know you?!" She asks. I nod, "I spent a lot of time in there with my dad, when I was a child" I confirm. Ginny smiles, as she hugs me. "I understand" she says, as she goes back to dancing with Harry. I then look around, seeing Theo talking to his friends. I walk over to Severus, who is stood to the side. I smile, "I'm glad the weight is lifted" I say as I approach him. Severus adjusts my hair. "You look like your mother" He says proudly. "Thank you dad" I smile, just as Theo approaches us. "Mr Theodore Nott" Severus says, just as he gets to behind me. I shoot a look towards Severus. "Professor Snape" Theo acknowledges respectfully. Severus walks away, to deal with a commotion that breaks out on the other side of the hallway. Seraphina turns towards Theo. "Theodore huh?" She smiles teasingly, he leans and kisses her cheek, whispering in her ear, "I prefer Theo" She giggles. They go to the dancefloor, and dances together.

The evening moves on smoothly, minus a few sniggers and quiet comments from other students. Theo dismisses his self, going to take care of some business, but he doesn't say much. He leaves me dancing with Ginny and friends on the dancefloor. It gives me an easy feeling in my gut. As it get's a bit later, I leave the hall, in my dress, and I go for a walk down the corridors, unaware that I'm being followed. I turn a corridor and I feel a chill go down my spine. "Seraphina!" A low but familiar voice calls, I turn to see Mattheo stood in the corridor. I freeze, kind of out of fear. Mattheo walks up to me. "Your father won't keep you safe" He ominiously warns. I look at Mattheo's face, "Where's Theo?" I ask, studying his face. Mattheo shrugs, "Probably helping Pansy" My face drops hearing another girls name. "I have to go" I quickly turn and walk away from Mattheo. Walking faster down the corridor, and all the way back to my dorm room, holding back the tears.
