Gerard's pov
I panted and coughed as I caught my breath, shutting the door behind me as I slid down and curled up in a ball. "A-Are you okay?" Frank asked worriedly as he ran up to hug me, checking for any injuries. "I-I'm sorry.." "Why'd you just leave like that? You could've gotten hurt.. or worse.. Please, don't ever do that to me ever again.." he sobbed as I patted his back, comforting him. "I'm sorry love.. but don't worry, I left once the sun was up, I swear." "Well please tell me next time before you leave okay..? I don't want to loose you too.." He sniffled as I nodded, apologising once more. I kissed his cheek as I held him close, assuring him I was fine. I gulped, hoping that he wouldn't pull my sleeves up and see the bite mark. I calmed him down before opening my bag and showing him everything I'd gotten. I couldn't bring myself to tell him that I was infected, but I knew I couldn't stay for too long. The bite wasn't too hard, so I'd probably be able to stay for a day or more. I prayed that he wouldn't ask why I entered by the back door where there was shelter. I shoved my head into his shoulder, knowing it was probably the last time I could hold him this way without hurting him. I kissed his neck gently as he breathed down mine, sending a small shiver down my spine. His cold lip piercing pressed against my skin as he kissed me up to my lips, pulling him closer by the waist. I connected our lips as I held myself back from slipping in my tongue, quickly pulling away.
Frank's pov
"You stay here and just rest okay? I'm gonna go out," "W-What? Why?" "Nothing, just thought I saw a house yesterday that had stuff in it. I'll be back soon okay?" He was hesitant, but I kissed his forehead before leaving. I walked in the shadows as I made my way through the forest cautiously, licking my lips. My eyes filled with lust as I spotted a person inside a house, my eyes lighting up. I quietly made my way towards it as I peeked inside. She was cooking, and I picked up a stick before picking the lock. I got in without a sound as I wrapped my arm around her stomach while covering her mouth with cloth, sinking my teeth into her collarbones as she passed out.
-at night-
Gerard and I got ready to sleep, and I crossed my arms as I stared at him. "You got anything you'd like to tell me?" "Huh?" "Don't act dumb," I said in a low voice, trying to contain myself. He gulped as he looked away, shaking his head. "No." He mumbled as he took the spike before walking up to me. "I'll go tonight." "Why? You did it last night," "There was a lot of them around yesterday, and I don't want you to get bit. I'll never let them hurt you, I promise. Get some rest okay?" He insisted as he kissed my cheek before leaving. It was so obvious, his scent. He got bit. I sat down staring out the window at him, smirking as I watched him try to fight the feeling. I opened the door quietly as I walked up behind him, wrapping my arms around him. "Frank what are you doing? Get inside, they'll come soon." "Come on, just accept it. You're bit, you're a vampire." He paused as he dropped the spike. "H-How.. how did you know-" "Please, your scent-" I stopped mid sentence as I realized what I'd just said. We stared at each other for a moment as he connected the dots, his eyes widening. "You.. You're a vampire..?" "Uh.." "What the fuck Frank?!" He screamed, picking up the spike defensively. I backed up as he slowly put it down, the two of us carefully walking towards each other. "No.. no no no I'm not a vampire yet Frank please.." he pleaded as he shoved the spike into my hand.
I took it before dropping it on the floor as I tried to take his hand, but he slapped me away. "Please Gerard just think about it. Let me take your hand, I won't hurt you if you don't. I-I'm not thirsty for blood please I swear, just don't hurt me. Close your eyes and let me help you understand, it's better this way. Please darling.." "No.. no I could never be like you. I'd rather die, and I mean it. Please, take the spike to my heart, I'm begging you," he cried, falling to his knees. I hugged him as I held myself back from bitting him, the scent of a half human and half vampire tempting me. "I-I can still be saved.. right? If I can find a church or someone-" "Please Gerard, you know it's too late. Someone burnt it down, so just let the feeling consume you.. this is our night," I smiled as I shoved my head into his chest. "..bite me." He muttered, grabbing a handful of my hair. "W-What?" "I said bite me. It speeds up the process, doesn't it?" "I mean.." I hesitated, seeing him grip the spike tightly at the corner of my eye. "..You're gonna kill me, aren't you?" I said in a low voice. He paused for a moment before pulling away, standing up. I stared up at him, his shadow hovering over me as tears streamed down his face. His hands were trembling as he held the spike between us, my face inches away.
"So, this is it huh?" "F-Fuck you, Frank." "Very well then, kill me." I said in a calm voice as I looked up at him, aiming the spike at my heart. We stared into each others eyes as he just threw it to the side, jumping on top of me and pushing me down. "Ow!" "Screw it, I can't do it. Please Frank, kill me.." "You know I can't do that sweetheart, but please.. I know it's hard for you to let go of being human but just think about it." I begged as he went silent, sniffling. He didn't say anything as he rolled to the side while I held him in my arms tightly, stroking his head. "..fine" "Really? You mean it?" "I guess.. I'd rather spend eternity with you than watch over you live forever without me." He mumbled as I smiled. I connected our lips before kissing down to his shoulder. He nodded in approval as I sank my teeth into him, feeling him squeeze my arms. He whimpered as he passed out, and I knew that transformation had already begun.
