"Get up slave."

I opened my eyes, groaning in agony as the pain shot through my body. It was like every muscle, every bone was screaming at me. I tried to push myself up, but as soon as I moved, a wave of dizziness hit, and I just collapsed back onto the metal bench.

"Get up!! We don't got all day!" He yelled.

He yanked me to my feet, dragging me out of the cold, damp dungeon cell. My legs were weak, barely able to support me as he pulled me up the stairs. I stumbled behind him, struggling to keep up. We passed the kitchen and the living room, warm and comforting, like a cruel reminder of everything I had lost. He didn't stop. He kept pulling me up another set of stairs, my body screaming in protest with each step. At the top, he dragged me down a long hallway and into a bedroom. I barely had time to catch my balance before I stumbled, catching myself on the edge of the bed.

"Get cleaned up there're clothes on the bed and I expect you to be wearing them when I come back in ten minutes."

He slammed and locked the door. I got off the floor and went to the bathroom. I turned on the light and it flicked on and off, my face looked horrible one of my eyes was swollen, I had blood all over my face and arms, I had a busted-up lip and there were bruises all over my arms. I looked at the bathroom it was absolutely disgusting the walls were this old rusty dark color, the bathtub was metal filled with water, the toilet wasn't even a toilet it was a bucket! I stripped my clothes and got into the cold water and yes before you ask the water is clean.

I got the soap out of the box and started to wash myself, removing the dry blood on my face and body. When I was done I got out and wrapped the towel around my body. I walked out of the bathroom and put on the skimpy dress that you could easily tell that it's too small for me.

I sat on the bed a waited for him. A few seconds later I heard the door unlock and a tall man wearing a suit with a scar across his cheek came in.

"Hello, princess." A wicked smile appeared on his face and I just stayed silent watching him.

His eyes scanned me like I was some sort of prize. "What, did you forget how to talk, princess?" he taunted, his voice dripping with condescension.

I flinched, instinctively scooting away from him as he sat down next to me. His presence felt like a weight pressing on my chest. I tried to ignore the unease crawling up my spine, but it was hard when his gaze lingered on me, cold and calculating.

"I have a piece of information that you don't know about yourself," he said, his tone too casual, too smug.

I frowned, confusion mixing with a tinge of dread. What is he talking about? Seriously, what was this guy's deal?

"You're mates with Bradley King, aren't you?" His voice was low, almost too knowing like he was savoring every word he said. The question hung in the air, sending a chill down my spine. How did he know that name?

"Yes."

He leaned in closer, that twisted smirk still on his face. "Well, he's keeping a very important secret from you."

My heart raced. "What are you talking about?" I snapped, trying to keep my voice steady despite the rising panic.

He just shrugged, eyes gleaming. "Oh, that's a shame. He didn't tell you that you're the long-lost princess of the Queen and King."

I stared at him for a moment, then burst into laughter. This guy might be creepy-looking, but he had no idea what he was talking about. "That's impossible," I managed between laughs, shaking my head.
