Kinsley
"Wake up, baby."
My eyes fluttered open, the soft light of the morning streaming through the truck window. For a moment, I blinked, disoriented, before the reality of the situation hit me. "Where are we?" I asked, my voice still thick with sleep.
"Well, we're currently five hours from our destination," Bradley replied, glancing over at me with a smile. "Are you hungry?"
"I'm always hungry," I muttered, already thinking about food.
He laughed, his eyes lighting up with affection as he smiled at me. "I should've known."
"Come on," he said, getting out of the truck.
I followed him as we walked into a 24-hour diner, the familiar smell of coffee and greasy food welcoming us inside. We slid into a booth, the worn vinyl seats creaking under us. Not long after, a friendly waitress handed us the menus.
What can I get ya to drink, sweet cheeks?"
She said, winking at Bradley, practically shoving those plastic tits in his face. Sorry, bimbo, he's taken by me, like forever.
"I'll have the raspberry iced tea. What about you, babe?"
I leaned into Bradley a little, resting my hand possessively on his arm, just enough to make my point. She glared at me, her flirty grin slipping for a second, and I smirked back at her, enjoying the way her confidence faltered.
I'll take the Sprite," he said, sending me a flirty smile. Haha, bitch!
She jotted it down and left, her hips swaying a little too dramatically for my liking.
"It's really hot when you're jealous," Bradley said, leaning closer with a grin that made my stomach flip.
"Well, she shouldn't have been shoving those plastic boobs all up in my man's face," I huffed, crossing my arms.
"Your man?" He arched a teasing eyebrow at me, the corner of his mouth twitching upward.
My face turned about ten shades of red as I realized what I'd just blurted out. I dropped my gaze to my lap, suddenly fascinated by the nonexistent lint on my jeans.
"Well, yeah, you're mine," I mumbled, fiddling with the edge of the napkin. "We might not be in the best place right now, but I'm not gonna sit here and let a wannabe Barbie take you away from me."
Before I could ramble any further, he reached over and gently tilted my chin up. His lips met mine, soft and deliberate, like he was grounding me at the moment. When he pulled away, his eyes locked onto mine, brimming with that unshakable confidence only he could pull off.
"Kinsley, I only love you, and nothing's gonna change that. No matter how many girls throw themselves at me, you're the only one I'll ever want."
My cheeks felt like they were on fire now, practically radiating heat. I grabbed the menu and held it up to shield my face, earning a deep, warm laugh from him.
"Stop laughing," I grumbled from behind the menu.
"You're adorable," he said, still chuckling, just as she came back with our drinks.
"Here are your drinks what can I get you to eat"
She said winking at Bradley, go away he doesn't want your nasty ass!!
"I want her on a platter." He stated.
I played along and faked gasped.
"Babe stop it! Not in public."
