Rajeev looked up and saw his face. His eyes were focused on something or someone. When he followed his eyes, he saw Shehnaaz standing there. He exhaled loudly looking relieved.
He patted Sidharth's shoulder. "Tune sanu ko dekh ke shehnaaz kaha. Mujhe laga us ladki ka naam bhi shehnaaz hai. Bhai dara diya tune." He called shehnaaz towards them.
Sidharth's eyes were fixed on her face while her eyes were staring at her brother's hand on his shoulder and she was smiling awkwardly. He signaled Sana to come there.
She grasped Akriti's hand to bring her with herself. They both walked towards the boys. Akriti was so excited to feel the pulsating vibes between them. She was happily waiting for some drama.
When they neared the boys, Rajiv kept his arm on Sana's shoulder and introduced her to him...
"Sidharth, this is my sister, Shehnaaz Kaur. Bas thode din pehle hi ayi hai wapis. Tum to jante hi ho. Humari Sana. Meri Sanu." And turning to shehnaaz, he said, "Sanu, this is my best friend, Sidharth Deshmukh. Kitne din ka gya hua tha, mushkil se aya hai ghar..." He was about to say more but he got interrupted by his phone's ringtone.
"Yaar Kaya ka call hai. Kujh urgent hoga jo itni jaldi uthh gyi hai. Min ata hun." He laughed on his own mini joke and went the other side to talk.
Akriti looked between them when they were just staring each other. Clearing her throat, she spoke.
"Oh! So, you're Mr. Tongue?"
Sid looked at her frowning and Sana closed her eyes in embarrassment.
She again cleared her throat. "Um... I mean sidharth. Bhai bahut baat kar rahe the apke baare mein. Main ati hun." Saying this, she ran towards the dining area and sat on her seat.
"Wo... " Shehnaaz tried to talk to break the ice.
"We'll talk later." Sid remarked and went towards his friend who still busy in his mobile phone.
Sana looked at his back with eyes doubled and mouth open agape.
How dare he ignore me. Main bhi koi mari nhi ja rhi usse baat krne ke liye. Huh...
She flipped her hair and joined her friend on the table.
"Baat jaldi khatam ho gyi" Akriti commented.
"Baat huyi hi nhi. Wo to pehle hi bhaag gya." Sana murmured.
"Bhag gya matlab?" She frowned.
"Bhag gya matlab bhag gya." Sana replied in an irritated tone.
"Shakal dikha." Akriti turned Sana's face to left and right. "Darne layak lag to nhi rhi hai. Balki hot lag rhi hai." She held her head in her hands thinking. Sana's mother noticed her confused expressions.
"Kya hua tum dono ko. Khana khao. Humein shopping pe jana hai." And they both focused on food while the question was still arising many more questions in the back of their head.
Sid moved towards Rajiv and was waiting for him to cut the call and when Rajiv did, he asked him. "Tune detective se baat ki?"
"Haan bhai kar li hai. Bas tu ladki ki details bata de jo bhi tujhe pata hai." Rajiv answered.
Sid shook his head in no. "Rehne de."
"Arey kyun? Kal tak to bada pyaar umad rha tha. Ab kya hua?"
"I don't feel this right. If feels like stalking. Kisi ki personal space ko disturb nhi krna maine. Bas rehne dete hai."
