ISHINITA'S POV
This feeling is not good because of the way Tom sees me, touches me, talks to me—everything feels wrong. But I cannot do anything. After entering the cabin sir sat on his chair, and Tom sat in front of him. I did not want to sit near this guy, so I stood near the table. But then Tom said to sit down, and having no option, I sat next to him. In between the conversation, I again felt something, but this time it was his hand, which was on my hand under the table. I didn't know what to do. How to react? so I sat still with a stiff body and a palping heart. I lost all my senses it seems like because I could not understand anything.
Suddenly, I heard Aadvik sir asking for coffee for both of them. And I couldn't thank my stars enough for this, I stood up instantly and went to bring them their coffee. As I was leaving, I didn't know why but turned around just to see Aadvik sir, I don't know what I was thinking, but I felt calm looking at him, and to my surprise, he was looking at me. He blinked at me maybe or was it just me imaging. I don't know but it felt like a calming hug and I exited the cabin.
The air outside the cabin felt lighter, and more breathable. My hands were still trembling as I prepared the coffees, my mind racing with thoughts of what had just transpired. But I knew I couldn't stay out forever.
When I returned, I placed the mugs on the table with careful precision. "Your coffee, sir. Anything else?" I managed, keeping my voice as neutral as possible.
Aadvik Sir didn't even look at me. "Your work here is done. You can leave now." His words were cold, clipped, leaving no room for argument.
I nodded quickly and turned to leave, not sparing a glance at either of them. My heart was still pounding as I stepped out and shut the door behind me, feeling an odd mix of relief and unease.
AADVIK'S POV
Since the moment we have entered the cabin I feel her being different, being scared and to be honest I don't like it. It feels as if I can bear anything but not her being uncomfortably being silent. She stood beside me, but when Tom asked her to sit down she did not deny. I was angry, would be an understatement I wanted to tell her to stand here only and not to move an inch but I could not just do it.
While we were conversing I knew something is wrong, it was clear in her eyes and then suddenly she became stiff. It was as if she has forgotten to even breathe and that was the last straw of my patience. I told her to make us coffee just so she could get out of the cabin. Then when she was leaving Idk why but she turned, and I just unknowingly blinked at her. It was just a blink but I felt as if she could read my eyes.
Once she was gone, I turned my attention to Tom, my expression icy.
"Tom, I hope you know I see everything that happens in this office. Nothing escapes my notice." My voice was calm, but there was no mistaking the threat beneath it.
Tom smirked, leaning back in his chair. "What's this about? I'm not following."
I didn't blink. "I don't have time for games. Let me be clear: no one comes into my office and makes my staff uncomfortable. You're here because of your father's goodwill, but even that has limits. Keep your behavior in check."
He laughed, a low, mocking sound. "Relax, Aadvik. She's cute, that's all. I was just... appreciating her. Besides, she's clearly naive. It's harmless fun."
My patience snapped. Leaning forward, I spoke with measured intensity. "You will not look at her, touch her, or even breathe in her direction. This is your last warning. Test me, and you'll regret it."
For a moment, Tom faltered, my unwavering gaze unnerving him. "Alright, alright," he said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "You're overreacting, but fine. I'll back off."
