"You man are a whore, you shall never touch my body."
"We shall see."
House Velaryon survived the genocide of Targaryen blood lines during Roberts Rebellion. The Velaryon name had long lost its luster with little to no wealth left to it. Monford Vel...

She had lost count to how many days she laid imprisoned. Days had turned to nights. Desert heat turned to frigid cold.
Vaelerys found herself upon the chilled floor, ear and cheek connected to sandstone. As a child whenever her father punished her, she would lay upon the floors listening to the sounds which vibrated through the castles foundation. The sound of footsteps from the halls, mice scurrying around corners, and even the metallic clink of armored knights pacing.
Repetition and predictability is what eased her anxiety. She had learned from her ears two men watched them, often times taking shifts. They paced and sat, ate and drank, and whispered quietly when they met.
Food and water were brought twice a day. The men never spoke nor opened the cell door. Once in a while she could hear Arianne curse their captors in the distance.
The silence and darkness behind her blindfold had let her mind wander to unexplored corners. She wondered if the same was happening to Arianne.
She longed for the man she despised most, her husband. The last she had seen of him he abandoned her without a word. She doubted he even cared that she had been taken. She wondered if he thought she had been raped as she often feared would happen whenever her captors approached. Or perhaps he thought her already dead and out of his way for his beloved Ellaria?
Oberyn was many things, both shameful and decent. Loyal was one honorable title he held. He would fall on his sword if his brother asked it of him. If Ellaria sent him away he would never set his eyes upon her again even if it pained him. His children, although all girls and bastards, were his pride and joy not a hint of shame ever etched on his face at their mention.
But would he do the same for her?
No. No he would not. He was all she had in this corner of the world, and yet she was truly nothing to him. He held the world in his palm. He would not come. At least not for her. Obara would come surely and she would take her cousin home. They would leave her here to be a victim of whatever fate the desert held for her.
A silent tear rolled out from beneath the blindfold.
Since the day she arrived in Dorne, she knew it was not her home. She had never felt a sense of belonging in her life time. Driftmark held the coldness of cruel memories. Dorne held nothing for her but a fruitless future. No purpose, no light, and no love.
Where was her home? As a child Aurane dreamt of sailing away to become a pirate. Vaelerys was to be his starling pirate queen in such fantasies. He would tell her of all the unexplored parts of the world. The things they would see, the cities they would conqueror, and the riches they would steal. He had once even promised her a dress made of the sapphires only found in The Shadow Lands Beyond Asshai. He claimed the jewels would make her immortal and a half man pop out her nose.
If she did survive this, if someone came for her, she would not stay in Dorne. This place was not the life she wished nor she felt was her purpose.
As her mind wandered, violent tears began to soak her blindfold. Her chest ached as she wept. Her hands clawed at her foolish heart as she mourned the wasted years and betrayal of those who claimed themselves her allies and loved ones.
