Meiko x Female Reader

You stood behind a bar wiping the wooden countertop. Sighing you stared blankly at the wood. This is not how you imagined twenty-second birthday would be like, but unfortunately here you were working on the one night you had asked to have off.

But thanks to your ever so thoughtful friend here you sat as she was out partying.

"Hey can I get a beer over here!" You heard a voice slur. You graded a cold beer bottle and walked over to the man.

"Here you go sure can I get you anything else?" You asked politely. "Yeah why don't you come here and-" the man's voice trailed off as you suddenly felt a somthing grad your rear. Gasping you jumped back. The man chuckled and stood up.

You suddenly felt fearful, the man towered over you. His hand reached to grad your arm when suddenly

"Oi back off"

Your head snapped to the side to face a young woman probably not much older than you walking your way. She had short brown hair and deep brown eyes. Her shirt only stretched to the to the middle of her stomach, matched with a short skirt and brown boots.

The Man glared at her "Ain't got nothing to do with you Meiko" the man muttered. The woman Meiko apparently, smirked. "Of coarse it does after all that's my girl you have your hands on."

Your eyes grew into saucers and your jaw went slack. The man narrowed his eyes, "oh really?"

Meiko smirked. "Yeah now leave her alone before there's a problem."

The man grumbled under his breath as he released his hold on you. You let out a sigh of relief before looking over at Meiko. You smiled "thank you Meiko-san."

The woman gave you a wide smile "Just Meiko, there ain't no need to be so formal." "Is there anything I can do to thank you?"

She thought for a moment "some Sake would be great." Smiling you lead her to the counter. As she sat on a stool you steped behind the bar and poured her a glass

This went on for hours you two would share stories as she drank (seriously how much can this girl drink)

"Well" she began as she finished her glass "I better head back I have work tomorrow." Meiko started to hand you the money for tab, shaking your head you refused to take the money. "You really saved my butt tonight. It's on me ok" you smiled

Meiko frowned "that's not fare" she soon perked up again "Fine but here" she wrote something on a napkin and handed it to you "here call me." She gave you a big smirk "Next time you off I'm gonna take you out to make up for the tab ok"

As she walked away you looked down on her number "you know" you mumbled to yourself. "I think I will call"

Maybe this wasn't such a horrible birthday after all.
