I sighed sadly as I looked at the posters hanging on my wall. Over the years the once clean and freshly painted walls have faded and been punctured with the nails and tacks of many different posters. I remember the day I pinned up my first poster ever, it was a small Hannah Montana poster I had gotten at my school book fair. Then soon after the old DBZ pictures I had drawn back in 5th grade ended up replacing it.
I remember when I hung up my first My Chemical Romance poster right next to my old Inuyasha wall scroll I got second hand from my cousin. Now here I sit almost 9 years after I hung that first poster looking at than same wall only now I see a smiling Teal haired girl staring back at me.
It's funny how much someone can change. It's been at least three years since I first saw that girl sing on my computer screen for the first time. I honestly can't believe I'm fixing to do this.
"You know you don't have have to do this right?" I hear a sweet voice from behind me. I turn around to see Miku looking at me sadly. I shook me head and turned to her. "Yes I do ... I've tried to ignore everything but I just can't do it."
Miku walked up up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Why do you have to? Do you hate us? Did I do something wrong?"
"It's nothing to do with you Miku it's just ... People change and I can't just sit back and be treated like this anymore."
"I still love the music, I still want to hear the stories you guys tell. The good, the bad, the sad, the happy, and the scary. I love them all but this just isn't for me anymore."
I turn away from her and run my hand over the post in front of me. I give her a small smile. "Don't look so sad there will always be fans who love you, even if I'm not one of them anymore." "But what about Len? Are you going to stop speaking for him? And Kaito? I thought you loved drawing him?"
"Someone else who loves you all even more than I ever did will handle it."
"What about your stories? I thought you loved writing?"
"I do but it's time to let go"
The girl looked at me, I let out a small sad chuckle holding in my emotions as I see her form becoming transparent.
"I'll really miss you Miku, I'll miss all of you."
She gives me one last watery smile. "We'll always be here for you no matter what"
As the small Vocaloid faded away I rip the Hatsune miku poster from my wall without giving myself a chance to second guess myself. I looked around me to see all my old drawings and merch in pile to thrown out and whispered, "thanks for everything." I bagged up the pile and walked out of my room without a second glance already thinking about what poster will cover the now empty spots on my wall.
Thank you everyone who has read this book it means so much to me
