Klaus turned down the hallway, immediately he noticed that both Salvatore brothers were having trouble fighting against Alaric, who pinned Elena against the by her throat, slamming her into the lockers.
That made him see red, anger boiled in his blood as Klaus let out a snarl, launching himself towards Alaric, the force of his attack sent Alaric flying back a few feet; allowing Elena to break free from his deathly grip.
"Are you hurt?" Elena shook her head, locking eyes with Klaus. "Good. Now, go."
Without hesitation Elena bolted for the exit as Klaus joined both Damon and Stefan in fighting against Alaric, she closed her eyes as a sickening sound of something snapping made her skin crawl, but the sound of Klaus's screams made Elena freeze.
The exit was just there, within arm's reach...
"God damn it!" She yelled, kicking the fire exit door in frustration.
Elena knew that she couldn't leave, she needed to help them – help him, but what could she do against a Supernatural hunter turned enhanced vampire?
Her eyes fell onto the crossbow that was lying on the ground, she knew it belonged to Alaric as he used it to chase Caroline and Rebekah through the school, thankfully – Elena knew how to use it as Alaric had shown her.
Rounding the corner, Elena gasped at the carnage before her – there were numerous destroyed walls and some lockers were missing doors, Damon was lying unconscious, his neck broken amongst the debris. Stefan was pinned against the lockers impaled by a metal pipe and he too, was unconscious probably from the pain, and Klaus... Klaus was the last one standing fighting against Alaric.
Though he was struggling to stop the White Oak stake from plunging into his chest.
Klaus blinked as an arrow lodged itself into Alaric's shoulder, both Alaric and Klaus were surprised at the killer look within Elena's eyes.
"Elena... What are you doing?" Alaric spoke, rising to his feet. "Put that down before you hurt yourself."
"Funny, because I think you forgot that I know how to use this." She spoke, rolling her eyes.
He let out a mocking chuckle. "Really?"
"Yeah." Elena replied, aiming for Alaric's right foot and pressed on the trigger. "See?"
Alaric let out a yell as he was instantly impaled, though he was quick and slapped Elena across the face which sent her against the wall – why isn't he fully attacking her? Unless... No.
Alaric threw the crossbow against the wall, shattering it completely, Klaus took this chance to attack again, but he was growing weak, Elena could see it, and so could Alaric.
No.
No.
No!
She needed to do something! Anything!
Elena's eyes widened as the red vine-like lines pooled out of her again, surrounding her like a shield as she rose to her feet, one of the magical vines hovered a piece of glass towards her.
"Stop!" Elena snarled, her eyes flashing red towards Alaric, who began to press his hand against Klaus's chest. "Stop this Ric, please!"
"Why should I?!" Alaric asked, shoving his hand in Klaus's chest. "His kind is an abomination to nature itself! He's a monster and so are his family!"
A magical vine wrapped itself around Alaric's throat, ready to strike if needed as Elena approached. "No, they are not! Esther is the true monster here!"
