Feelings

     My mother worked with murderers, rapists, and sex offenders. Never in a million years would I ever consider her falling head over heels for one of those.

      "What? How? When?"

       "I guess after your father left I've been deprived of that feeling of knowing you're wanted. I use my clients to get that sensation back. It's not right, I know, but it fills a hole inside me."

         "You can't," I warned her. "It's unprofessional. You're risking everything right now, mom."

     She set her head on the edge of the table. "I know but you can't just stop."

            "Mom, no," I shook my head.

            "I believe that he's innocent. I see a good man in him."

     Just like how I pictured Tatum to be when we first started dating.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Tatum left endless voicemails and text messages on my phone. He would threaten me and then tell me that he loved me. I wasn't stupid. There was no way I would go running back to him. They were all just empty threats.
        I hoped.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

        The following week, I was living in constant fear. I knew he was out there. I saw him everywhere I went. Even a simple task like taking out the trash became difficult.

      Tatum lurked in stolen vehicles, or he stood behind trees. He made it obvious that he was out there. He wouldn't stopped until I came back to him. Until I was his again.

I actually really like having short chapters. Much easier to edit :D.

Do you guys like the main character? While reading books I see so many comments about characters hating the main girl because she's stupid, dumb, a hoe. I try to feel how the character's feeling.
Most likely Maya only liked Tatum because he completed her world. She wants people to envy her. I mean...she's beautiful, smart, talented, and has the friends and a hot boyfriend to follow. Wouldn't everything go to your head?
