"You were," I paused as I pointed at his face, "rich?"He chortled, "funny huh?"
I nodded. "What happened?"
He smirked at me then looked at his watch. "It's time for me to leave."

It seemed like everyone had a secret at Sterling High School. Little by little, secrets were being exposed whether the person liked it or not. No matter how good you are at deceiving people, you had a slim chance of graduating with that secret.
Chelsea's secret was the start. After her story got out people started spreading rumors like wildfire. No one became safe anymore. Friends turned on friends, even teachers hid steamy secrets in their desks.
If you had no secret or your secret wasn't worth a thousand souls, you'd be one of the firsts to go.
Tatum followed after Chelsea. His little secret was that he was the student that provided the drug that the new student used to overdose on. Tatum kept his mouth shut for a long time. He hid his drug habits from his parents, including me when we were dating. That's not even the shocking part.
News about Tatum being jailed was the next hottest topic that was spreading around at school. Tatum was convicted of arson after the death of his parents and sibling. He did it late in the night when his parents were sleeping. There was a two month old present in the house at the time.Samaira's parents were quick to take their child out of school after hearing about what was going on in Sterling High. Rumors said that they tried to leave the state but death forbid them to.
As for my secret....
Well some things are best left unsaid.
