Ch 19: Talk to him!

Bella Richards

"Seriously? A shopping spree?" I said as Christiana pulled me with her to enter another store in the shopping mall.

"You've been in your worst state these days, you need to chill out. C'mon bitch." she said as she dragged me to various sections of the store. Well, a week after all the researching, I spent my days being gloomy for no reason. It was evident that my mood had worsened and I was obviously overthinking about the situation.

Knowing how I was, Christie decided we would go out and buy some new clothes, jewelleries, makeup or skincare, and have a cute lunch date - basically an all girls day. It was Saturday so we didn't have as much pressure as the normal days and we would have some time for ourselves. Also, Calvin's working on a weeknd, so rather than selecting a sunday, we selected this day.

We went to the dress section, trying out different stuff and giggling about small things. It was as if suddenly I forgot all about what I was going through and just wanted to enjoy our times together like this forever. And that is exactly why I love Christiana. I love my best friend so much.

"Bella? Christiana?" I heard a familiar and I turned around to see Eliza standing there with an amused and wide smile. I smiled, remembering my close friend of ages.

Christiana and I, we both gasped, "oh my god, liz!" Christie squealed and hugged her. I giggled and hugged her as well.

"It's been ages since we talked! How are you? And how's your practice going?" I asked with a smile and she replied in positive.

"It's so good, I swear. It's so nice in Berlin, and I'm enjoying the place, the food" she said, "the men" she whispered to which we both giggled, "and my job of course!" she squealed.

"You never change." we both said at a time and we all laughed.

"Let's have lunch together! The bill's on me!" After hanging out for a while, and shopping, Eliza proposed, and we both agreed.

"This is my favourite place, I swear. I come here with Kristen often" I smiled as she referred to her best friend. Well, we are all childhood friends but we aren't in as touch as we all used to be. It's hard to explain, honestly. Sometimes, those friendships lose their sparks, and something just happens and they just drift away - even though you never had a fight with them. It feels very odd that things like these happen, but we can't help things that are meant to happen.

"So, how's your marriage, honey?" After a few conversations, she asked me. I blushed and couldn't speak as I myself didn't know how my marriage was going on.

I looked at Christiana to help me but she was in fact smirking at me. I glared at her but she nudged me.

"Oh c'mon, is he treating you alright?" Liz asked, chuckling.

"Alright? It feels like that guy kisses the floor she walks on." Christiana said, scoffing.

"He loves her so much and I can say it. And madamé, she got a little crush." She said, teasing me. I was all red by now and not only her, but Liz also started teasing me now.

"Y'all stop." I said, giggling as I hit them lightly.

"You're very cute." They both chuckled and rolled my eyes. Why the fuck am I blushing oh god?

And to my luck, the food came and the discussion finally shifted to something else. After we ate, we all started to talk about the older times in our class. Then Liz suddenly remembered one thing.
