Elizabeth's POV

I slowly unwrapped myself from Blair, horrified. I wiped my eyes and sniffed. "Sorry about that." He looked at me with wide eyes. "It's okay. But seriously. What was that about?" I shook my head and sighed. "I remembered something."

I took a peak at him. He looked calm. For now. "What was it?" He asked slowly. I shook my head. "I don't want to talk about it." He sighed. "But Lizzy-" He stopped as I shot him a look. Then I slowly picked up the fallen note on the ground.

It's not his time.

I quickly flipped it over. I gasped and covered my mouth. "No!" I croaked. There it was, plain as day in my messy handwriting.

I'm sorry. Forgive me Newt.
-Lizzy

I ran my fingers over the words, a single tear running down my cheek. When I wrote this I had killed my mother. Why would I write something like this?

"Wow." Blair breathed from beside me. I nodded warily. He couldn't say a word about this to anyone. So I sighed.

Then I whipped around and grabbed his shirt collar with both of my hands. He looked startled. I brought his face close to mine. "You won't breath a word about this." I hissed through my teeth. He nodded his head solemnly. "Wouldn't dream of it."

That's when the Greenie Alarm went off. Again.

I shoved my way through the mass of confused and scared people by the box. I stopped by Alby, and Blair came up beside me, putting a hand on my shoulder. "What is this?" I asked Alby, exasperated. "Two shipments in one day? This place was already shucked up. Now this!" Ably grunts.
The box arrived with a squeal. I took Newt's place again. Alby nodded at me. Then we pulled the box open.

I didn't wait to see what was in there. I just jumped right in. And found myself face to face with a girl.

She smirked at me. My eyebrows shot to my hairline. The murmuring grew louder and louder. Ably jumped down next to me. The girl quickly dropped her smirk and proceeded to look scared. Okay, no, not right. Something's off here. "W-who are you people?" She asked with a quaver in her voice. I laughed harshly and she shot me a look. Where do I know her from?

"Are you going to answer me?" Oh, sassy greenie! Alby turned to the edge of the box. "Shows over folks! Go back to your jobs!" Soon all the boys were gone. We turned back to the girl.

"Can you remember your name?" Alby asked. She had light blue eyes, light brown hair and a slim build. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Yes? Yes. I do." She looks a little hesitant at first.

"Well, we don't have all day Greenie, what is it?" She glared at me. "Don't call me that." I shook my head with a smirk on my face. "I can call you what I want, Greenie." Her face got a little red. She took a deep breath and turned to Ably. "My name is Ricky." He nodded. "Okay, Greenie. Welcome to the Glade. We have three rules here.
1. Everyone does their part. NO slackers.

2. Never hurt another Glader. We need to be able to trust each other.

3. Never go outside the glade, unless you are a runner.
Got it?"

She nodded a bit uncertainly. "Okay. Time for the tour. Elizabeth, you can go do what you do."
I nodded, looked at her one last time and then went. I launched myself at the wall and pulled myself right out of the box. With one shucking hand. I looked back to see her gaping at me. I flipped my hair a bit. "I'd close your mouth if I were you. We have lots of bugs around here." She snapped her mouth shut and blushed. Ably followed my suit and soon we were both on the edge. She stood inside the box looking up at us. Alby peered down at her. "You wanna try? Or do you want us to throw down the rope?" I laughed a bit. She got a determined look on her face. "I can do it if she can do it with one hand." She pointed at me and I snorted. "Be my guest, Greenie."
