Taehyung was in the shopping centre bored out of his mind due to the lack of items that caught his eye. It was a shock to him where something did catch his eye, it wasn't something he can to spend money on, he didn't have to wait in line to purchase this item, this item lay on the floor in the middle of the centre. It was one of those best friend necklaces and Taehyung had no intention to keep it so since the necklace needed the other one to complete the word, he went looking for the missing piece.
Taehyung was walking around the store for hours, looking at people's hands or necks trying to see the 'be' and the 'fri'. He wanted to give up and leave since the centre was going to close in an hour, maybe the person left. The exit to the shop was far from where Taehyung stood, and as he walked back he spotted the necklace around the neck of a young boy with black hair who was just closing up shop.
"Excuse me?" Taehyung planted himself in front of the boy.
"I think this is yours." Taehyung extended his arm, the necklace in his palm.
The boy looked down at the necklace quickly recognising it.
"You can keep it." He replied looking at Taehyung.
"What?"
"Keep it." He repeated.
"But, it's for best friends."
The boy laughed.
"Then you can be my best friend."
The boy brushed passed Taehyung, Taehyung craned his head as he watched the boy walk off.
"What's your name?!" Taehyung suddenly yells.
The boy stops and spins around, still smiling.
"Park Jimin!"
"I'm Kim Taehyung!"
Jimin nodded waving goodbye as so did Taehyung.

Every since that encounter, Taehyung would pop up in Jimin's store and bug him, he would wait until it's his break and he would drag him to different stores. Soon enough they did become best friends and they didn't need a necklace to prove it.
