The feeling of tightness around the chest and the unwanted fear wash over him was not what Taehyung wanted. Taehyung wanted to hear many things but what he heard, he wasn't ready to cope with. Upon hearing,

'It's incurable.'

Taehyung froze up, paralyzed, he sat by his mother as she too hadn't moved, however had the expression of shock and fear. Taehyung on the other hand was hollow, deadpan. He had no idea how to react to such information given. Maybe cry? But what would that do? Deny it? And yet again, what would that do? So Taehyung allowed his mother to ask, 'what can we do?'

But the doctor merely replied with the shake of his head and an 'I'm sorry.'

Taehyung had left the room not giving his mother any warning. He had rudely slammed the door causing both his mother and the doctor to jump slightly but he honestly didn't care. He didn't care he was dying, the only thing crossing his mind at the moment was if he was going to achieve all his life goals in the short span of life he has left. In frustration, Taehyung ran his hand through his dark hair only to roughly grip it as he tried so hard not to scream. Once his mother had exited the room, she placed a hand on her sons shoulder only to have it rudely shrugged off. At that moment, Taehyung wanted to be alone and his mother had picked up on that quickly, she stayed distant and quiet during the ride back home.

Hours rolled by, Taehyung was still sprawled on his bed staring up at the ceiling. He hadn't moved from that position, ignoring all calls from his phone and or mother. However, once his phone began to ring the unique ringtone in which he had only set it to ring if this one specific person rang, he shot up looking down at his phone which clearing had 'Jimin' flashing on the caller I.D. Forgetting his deep thoughts, he picked up the phone, without hesitation, pressing answer.

"Tae!" Jimin's cheerful voice rang from the other line.

"Hello Jimin. What's up?" Taehyung asks, a small smile creeping onto his lips.

"Nothing at all. I just want to know why the hell you skipped college today!"

Taehyung let out a slight laugh at the change of tone Jimin had done.

"I was at the doctors." Taehyung replied honestly.

"Oh! And? What happened?"

Taehyung's smile dropped as everything came crashing down, he breathed in a sigh, closing his eyes restricting any tears from running down his face.

"Nothing happened Jimin." He had lied.

And Jimin hadn't believed him.

"Something happened Tae." Jimin replied, his voice low.

Taehyung felt a stab to his chest upon hearing the lack of energy and cheer in Jimin's voice. As Taehyung was about to reply, realization hit him first. He realized that if Jimin knew about Taehyung's life cut short, or if Taehyung were to confess to Jimin, it would break him and so, Taehyung pulled the phone away from his ear and ending the call. He buried his face in his hands as he thought of what to do. Within seconds he sprung up, an idea expression face. He had an idea, not the best one however.

Jimin stared at his phone oh so carefully as he waited for a call from Taehyung. He was currently confused why Taehyung had suddenly hung up very rudely with no reason. Jimin had sent multiple text messages and had tried calling the younger over and over but to advil. However, Jimin wasn't going to give up. If Taehyung were not to call back in the next 15 minutes, Jimin is going to jump out of his bed, slip on shoes and march over to Taehyung's house.

"Jimin, what- are you still staring at your phone? You now if Taehyung hasn't tried calling for this long, give up." Jimin's sister, Haruna said.

"Shh Haru, I can feel that he might call any second now." Jimin replied not averting his eyes from the phone.
