The walk to her house wasn't really long; she, luckily, lived about 20 minutes from their school.
But all three guys noticed something important: the fact that she unknowingly lived pretty close to all three of them, with Joseph's house being the closest, obviously.
"So guys, welcome to my humble abode!" Vittoria exclaimed, pointing at her house in a really theatrical way.
"Whoa, um, I never thought you lived here." Joseph said, a little confused, in a good way.
"What do you mean, Jo?" The girl asked, scrunching her nose in confusion at the boy's words.
Jo, uh?
She shouldn't have said that, because now, right this moment, Jo couldn't really formulate words anymore.
He liked the nickname, but he mostly enjoyed the fact that she gave him a nickname so early in their so-called friendship, making his chest warm a little.
"So, um, I'm sure that Jo meant that you live fairly close to all of us, which is surprising because we didn't know that a family, yours apparently, had moved here." Charles quickly responded after noticing his friend's expression.
"Oh my god, this is exciting! It's nice to finally know someone that lives nearby, you know?" Vittoria responded, completely clueless about the one-eyed boy's change in behavior.
"Yeah, now we can come to bother you more easily and frequently. Funny, right?" Jean added, looking sarcastically at the girl, who feigned a sigh at his words, making him and Charles chuckle a little.
"Well, like I already said, guys, welcome to my humble abode!" She repeated, getting closer to the gate of her house, while searching for the keys in her bag.
"So, um, there's a possibility that my parents could be here, but they're most definitely at rehearsal, so we shouldn't meet them." The girls continued, finally finding her keys and opening the gates for her home.
"What are you waiting for, guys? Let's go!" Vittoria added, while gesturing for them to follow her through her beautiful, but not so big, garden, full of lots of different flowers.
