Vittoria always liked to be on time or slightly early, but never late; she hated it. So the fact that she was now running towards her school's gate, since she hadn't woken up in time, was a really strange thing to see.
"Wait, sir! Sir!" Vittoria shouted, trying to get the attention of the man who was closing the gates of the school.
"Five minutes." The man said, before looking up and down the girl, with a disgusting smirk forming on his lips. "Your attendance sheet." He asked in a demanding way, inviting her with his hand-to-hand over the sheet.
Vittoria sighed and started looking in her bag for the said sheet, with a defeated look on her face.
"No, don't give me that look." The man said, before taking the sheet from her hand. "A pretty girl like you should be smiling." He continued, looking at her like a total creep, making her shiver a little.
"So... What class are you in?" The man asked the girl, waiting slightly impatiently for an answer.
"The League of Nations, LON..." Mrs. Giraud said, while writing the abbreviation just mentioned on the board. "...the goal of the League of Nations is global security... through disarmament and war prevention." The woman continued, now having her face towards her students.
But before she could continue, Vittoria knocked on the door and waited for a nod from her head teacher before entering the classroom, with her hair still a little frizzy from her previous run.
"Miss Anouilh... Thank you so much for joining us today." The old woman exclaimed, looking at her with annoyance and disapproval. "Late pass?" She continued, scoffing, before taking the sheet that Vittoria had in her hands.
