"And this is why the death penalty should be abolished, by the vision of the Italian philosopher of the 700s." Vittoria concluded, with a big smile on her face, making the teacher smile a little too.

Charles, unexpectedly, started clapping, making slowly everyone else clap too; some more convinced than the others.

Annick and Laubrac were clapping the loudest, making Vittoria smile in gratitude and blush a little, embarrassed by all the attention that was on her and her group.

"Good job, gentlemen and miss. I'm happy that for once, you two gentlemen did a good, a really good, job, and I'm happy that a miss could make everyone see how it is done." The teacher smiled and congratulated them, making all three of them smile too, thankful that their hard job repaid them.

"Now you three go; I have other pairs to hear. Thanks again for your great job." He continued, hinting to them to sit down.

So the three thanked their teacher once more and got back to their seats, where Charles wasted no time expressing how well they did, making all three of them chuckle a little.

"You did very well, Vi." Annick told the brunette, now that they were finally exiting school.

"Thank you, Ann. You too; you were as amazing as always, really." Vittoria responded, smiling softly at her blonde friend.

"Well, Pichon wasn't such a bad partner at the end." The blonde responded, remembering the time she passed with the boy. "What about your two companions?"

"They were really funny; Charles took some of my pastries, and he pretended to be a walrus at one point. That was so funny that my belly hurt for at least half an hour after that." Vittoria responded, remembering that moment and giggling a little.

"Charles? I thought Dupin's name was Jean?" Annick asked, a little confused.

"Oh yeah, Dupin's name is Jean; Charles is Vergoux's name." The brunette responded, confused by Annick's confusion.

"But you were in a group with Dupin and Descamps, so what was Vergoux doing with you three?" Annick asked again, making her friend finally understand where she was going.
