Dipper stood at the end of the cliff, with his elbows leaning on the railing. He just watched the small town of Gravity Falls below him. "Man I missed this place..." Dipper said with a faint smile. "You know you can always stay.." He heard behind him. He quickly turned around.
He saw Pacifica standing there, with a bright smile and a small purple jacket on. "Mind if I join you?" She asked him as she stood beside him. She then leaned on the railing as he did. "Of course not." He quietly said as he scooted over.
They both just looked over the city, in the stary night sky. "I have to go back Monday.." Dipper then blurted out. "What?!" Pacifica said in sad shock. "Boss said the owners of the com tower will come do our job for us. Meaning we go home a week early." He said sadly.
"But you can't leave yet! You've only been here 2 days!!" She said angrily and sadly. "I know, I know. But I don't make the rules.. trust me I don't want to leave this place either. Good news is I'm off Saturday and Sunday. So I'll be able to hang out with you as much as you want then." Dipper explained.
"I don't care! That leaves you 3 days!" Pacifica blurted out. "Why do you care so much now? You used to not even care what happened to me." Dipper questioned in shock. "Well now I do! You've been running from your real self all your life Dipper! Don't you ever want to be able to go home happy after work? And see your wife and kids?!" Pacifica yelled.
Dipper just put his head down. "It's not that easy.." He said. " What is it then??" She asked in an angry tone. He didn't answer. She immediately regretted that question. "Oh Dipper..." She said in sadness. She then stroked his head to make him feel better.
"You need to find a job down here... I could tell from the second you got here that your attitude changed." She said to calm him down. "And not just another job.. but a life. One with a family." She said to him, as she sat herself and him down.
He still didn't answer. "Because... I care about you Dipper. Your family cares about you..." She said as she then started rubbing his back. He finally looked up at her. She grabbed his head, and pulled him into a hug in her chest. Like any man, he enjoyed feeling her chest on his head, but he was still too depressed to care.
"You really have changed Pacifica.." Dipper finally spoke. She looked down at him in shock. "You're not that spoiled girl you used to be. Now I can actually tell that you care." He said quietly. Then they both sat quietly. Pacifica wanted to say something so bad, but didn't want to ruin this. But she decided to say it anyways.
"Maybe I always have..." She said. With Dipper's head in her lap, he just looked up at her strangely. "Maybe so.." He chuckled. "I mean... I cancelled my flight to a celebrity party to stay here with you...." She just stopped. Then, she felt that feeling again.
"Maybe I just... Li- "Oh, one second." Dipper interrupted, as he pulled out his phone. "Yeah Stan?" He said, as he walked back into the woods to answer the call. Pacifica just sat there, by herself on the cliff. "What was I about to say..?" She asked herself with red cheeks.
"D- do I like... Dipper?" She asked herself in silence. A million questions ran through her head like earlier. Now, she just couldn't get Dipper out of her head. "All these years... Ive had feelings for him the whole time?" She asked herself in her head.
"Sorry. Stan called to remind me I have work in the morning. I think we better call it a night." Dipper said. Pacifica just stared at him, speechless. "Uh...yeah! Sure!" She said. "Okay well goodni- He stopped. He was interrupted by a hug from Pacifica.
"Are you okay?" He asked strangely. "Yes.. goodnight Dipper." She looked up at him and smiled. He smiled back, and walked her to her car like a gentleman. He watched her get in her car, and drive off. He felt...weird, watching her drive away.
