CHINA
Japan, he thought, quietly admiring Germany's quick wit. Yes. It was perfect.

Since the 80s, following the — now as they knew — Cold War, Japan had entered a state of unprecedented development. Technological invention and innovative design had swept their world, and although no one knew for sure what it had done in Neo, it was enough to prove its status in the real world as one of the most engineering-wise rich countries in the world. Even more so after its disastrous defeat during the Second World War. To China, it was a proud recall, because it meant all that research at those libraries were worth it.

And this upper hand in intelligence led directly to another one of the reasons why it was a good choice to head to Japan. Last night, he had given it a thought, mulled over it with some tea, and he decided that because they had made absolutely no progress with following the war-centric route, it was smarter decision to set their sights on something else: the chip. The chip that Vietnam had from his scans, the chip located in the frontal lobe — the chip that had caused it all.

What better place to do it in than Japan? he thought with relief. It was a better chain of events than he thought it'd work out in.

"I agree," he said aloud to Germany, nodding. "Japan is a perfect place to head to next."

Reich stood there for a moment. "Japan?" he asked. "Why?"

"It's not too far from the United States, because it's at the very edge of Asia. It's safe, it fits our priorities, and I like sushi," China shrugged.

"I don't mind," JE smiled, and Japan clutched his arm happily, hopping up and down like a child.

"Fits priorities? How?"

"Reich has too many questions," America snickered.

"I'm trying to keep us safe," Reich retaliated.

"Let's go then before UN comes and starts shooting us all," North offered with a roll of his eyes.

"I sure do hope not," Ukraine said, eyes shining in false innocence.

JFK International Airport, the nearest airport with its name borne from the legacy of a former US President, was large and unnavigable with thirteen people plus luggage — and the already dire situation got arguably worse when South dropped the bomb that they didn't have passports.

"Oh my god," Reich groaned. "UN, that asshole. Stay in your damn dimension," he said, along with a string of unmentionable cuss words.

"We can't get on a plane then," JE frowned, finger on his lower lip. "Uh— boat?"

"We are not going from here to Japan with a boat," Germany said, astounded that someone would consider such a thing.

"I have an idea," America grinned.

"No," Reich held up a hand.

"Shut up." And then he left, blonde mop of hair getting engulfed into the sea of people.

"Where's he going?" Russia asked curiously.

"This idiot— Canada, go get your goddamn sibling under control—"

"Impossible," Canada chuckled, cocking his head to one side and looking like he would prefer to hear his brother's idea out before shutting it down.
