It was quick, the way how night settled, and the luminescence of the amusement rides were the only thing lighting up the darkness. They had decided unanimously to have dinner at the restaurant on the tallest tower of the park, overlooking a stunning evening view of modern Russia, flickers of architectural light like pinpoints in the hazing beyond.Everyone had converged, Poland clutching more stuffed animals than he could carry (the archery workers begged them to leave) and Reich looking sufficiently self-satisfied of his laser shooting skills─ which left America and Russia nowhere in sight and China and North stumbling in looking like they had walked through a hurricane.
South burst into laughter, banging on the edges of the table they had reserved prior to entrance. "What could have possibly happened?"
"He got a taste of what we like to call rollercoasters," China teased, pinching North's cheek. "I wish I could've gotten it on camera."
"Tough crowd," Ukraine grinned, grabbing the menu. "I think more of us should be laughing. No one looks that unkempt and gets away with it."
"Suck it up," Reich chuckled, leaning back on his chair and North gave him a well-chosen finger in response.
"From your reaction it looks like you haven't seen America and Russia since we ditched them," Canada peeped, and China shook his head no. "This place is massive ─ they could be very well anywhere."
"America rents private jets for free, he'll be fine with Russia," Ukraine said reassuringly, massaging her boyfriend's shoulder. "Hmm, didn't you want him to stop pining?"
The table quieted and Canada flushed a pale shade of pink, awkwardly playing with the hem of his shirt. "Well. I. Not in this way ─ I have no clue where he is and he isn't picking up a single one of my calls─"
South coughed loudly. "I don't think you'll have to worry. They'll get back safe and sound... and freed of oblivion." He grinned, flashing a row of pearly whites. "Hopefully."
"Then a toast to Neo," JE declared, holding up his wine glass like a member of Congress. "A toast to Representation?"
"No, a toast to this journey," Japan interjected, smiling. "And to how far hope has gotten us."

RUSSIA
"Do you think they've had dinner yet?" America frowned, tracing the baubles of light attached to the waiting lines with his finger, palpably worried for his brother, who he had been nearly attached at the hip with for the entirety of their escapade."Maybe, but there's still no charging port for our phones, so I can't be sure," Russia shrugged dejectedly and tapped furiously at his dead screen. No response, except for a flashing lack of battery signal. "But hey," he added brightly, "it's oddly calm out here, and on the bright side, you're not doomed for life because look which Representative you happen to be stuck out here with."
"You're just too attached to me," America sighed, sweeping the back of his hand to his forehead in feigned distress. "O' Shakespearean woe, or whatever art thou he spoke of."
Russia stared. He hadn't even noticed they were growing further from the park itself, too wrapped up in their conversation; the pop music had reduced to a droning hum. "Yeah alright, all that glistens is not gold."
"Told you you're attached. You don't even try and bitch about my responses anymore."
"I've just grown used to you and wherever you draw the line between chaos and control."
"Stop talking like you've just swallowed a dictionary," America pouted. "I'm not used to it."
"But you're used to when China speaks like a walking thesaurus?" Russia laughed, soft and winding, and the blonde cracked the faintest of smiles. "China is a walking thesaurus. I tell that guy to give me a synonym of exacerbate and he would probably do it. What does exacerbate mean, anyway? He probably learned it from one of his long and overcomplicated books that even his beloved North Korea won't understand. Plus─ I─ where... are we?"
