Stefan's phone exploded out of his hand, ending the call, but it was too late. Bonnie had officially heard Kai's name in the open – and, she'd heard Stefan claim MJ's involvement. Sure, the claim wasn't based on anything more than a song, but that was all MJ needed. It was their song. Stefan had to know Kai wouldn't just play it for fun – sure, he'd been in MJ's head, but Kai's own surprise at Stefan's reaction proved it wasn't something to toy with him.

Bonnie would rock up.

Stefan wouldn't die.

MJ had an actual chance at discovery.

As she rocked her hand back and forth, the grin on her face was wild, shooting a wink at Kai as the music played, back on two feet. He looked like he wanted to wring her neck, not even bothering to refocus on Stefan to hide her anymore, yet, his lips still twitched. He even managed a slight head bob of appreciation for her trick, MJ's false tears gone.

Until his hand lifted.

Kai perked up, "Are you serious?"

Had Bonnie managed to replace the incredibly rare ingredients she'd used up?

It had been years, so it shouldn't have been that surprising –
