The car cruised down the empty road, the faint hum of the engine filling the silence between us. The sun was setting, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, but all I could think about was one thing. Ice cream. A sweet, creamy cone of chocolate chip ice cream with a drizzle of caramel and sprinkles on top.

I sighed heavily, slumping into the passenger seat. My gaze drifted outside the window, but my mind was stuck on the image of that ice cream cone. My lips automatically formed a pout.

I couldn't help it; I'd been craving it all day. Ice cream wasn't just a sweet treat to me; it was a delightful indulgence, a moment of pure happiness that transported me to a place where everything was just right. And right now, nothing else seemed to matter. I wanted it. I needed it.

"Why are you sulking like that?" Avyan's voice broke through my thoughts.

"Huh?" I blinked, turning to face him. His dark eyes glanced at me briefly before returning to the road.

"You've been sighing every ten seconds. What's going on in that little head of yours?"

I pouted even harder, feeling an irrational wave of sadness wash over me.

With a heavy sigh, I slouched in my seat, crossing my arms in exaggerated frustration. "Avyan..." I began, dragging his name out like a petulant child.

"Hmm?" He responded, his attention still mostly on the road, but his lips curving into a slight smile. He always knew something was coming when I used that tone.

"I want ice cream," I said, my voice soft and filled with longing, like I was requesting the most important thing in the world.

He chuckled, the sound low and warm. "Ice cream? That's what's making you look like the world is ending?"

"You don't get it, Avyan," I said dramatically, crossing my arms. "It's not just ice cream. It's the ice cream. The perfect combination of flavors, the cold sweetness melting on my tongue, the-"

Avyan chuckled lightly, though his expression remained amused but a bit perplexed. "You and your food obsessions, Aditi. Always dramatic about the simplest things."

I ignored his teasing, lost in my own little fantasy of creamy chocolate chip ice cream, the cold sweetness melting in my mouth as I savored every bite. I could almost taste it, the satisfaction it would bring. I could picture it perfectly-smooth, rich, and delicious. My thoughts took me to a place of pure bliss.

I let out another sigh, this time more exaggerated than the last. The pout on my lips deepened, and I let my gaze fall back out the window. I could feel the emptiness in my heart as if the world would be a much better place if only I had that ice cream.

Avyan caught the shift in my mood. "Seriously, what's with the sulking?" he asked, his tone laced with curiosity.

"I can't help it," I said dramatically. "I'm just thinking about how amazing ice cream would be right now. I can almost taste it." I placed my hand over my heart in an overly theatrical gesture. "It's like a deep longing, Avyan. You wouldn't understand."
