I woke up early today and got ready really fast, or should I say, I didn't even sleep all night. I was all excited after the news Daksh gave me yesterday night!

🦢

Yesterday night:

I was sitting in my office, completing all the pending work before I move back to Mumbai. There were some issues going on in my company for which I had to leave urgently. Therefore I was hell bent on finishing all the work as soon as possible so that I could return back to New York before my little kitten returns. Her semester was going to get over next month so I had pretty much time left with me for handling the work in Mumbai and returning back.

I thought of going to the check the site for the construction of a new hotel which was given by none other than- Mr Abhimaan Rathore. He is one the most important and very old client of mine but before I could even leave, the door of my office barged open. I didn't bother greeting that person, nor I was angry cause only one person has the guts to open the door of my office without any fear and that is none other than Daksh Mishra, my bestfriend and her brother.

Daksh was my bestfriend or more than bestfriend. When he moved here to Paris, I hate to admit but I really missed him a lot. We are completely opposite to each other, but he was the only one with whom my vibe truly matched. He was the sunshine type of boy whereas, about me you can say- cold and distant. I avoided having unnecessary conversations and only replied to the questions that were asked. I believed in talking only as much as needed.

When he moved away, I had no other friend and then I met Aarav. He was just like a carbon copy of Daksh. It didn't take much time for us to become friends. We met during highschool and were called the "campus hunks". In the eyes of other peopl, He was the typical bad boy kind of guy, however those who truly know him, only they know how he is in reality. He is an orphan as his parents died during a car accident. But we never let him feel like he was alone. My parents, loved him like they loved me. They never let him feel the loss of parents and not only him but also his sisters.

"Yanny, Mere bhai...How are you?" Daksh asked whining like a child.

"I'm fine but what the heck happened to you. Why are you sulking like a child? Ab kya karke aaya for which I have to pay! And wait......for fuck's sake stop calling me yanny!" I replied in a little frustrated tone, cringed from the nickname he gave me.
He likes calling me "yaany" because no one else does so it makes him feel more special and closer to me- his thoughts not mine. If I hadn't known this guy, for sure I would have thought that he is gay.

"Well leave your " I hate yaany nickname and I'll kill you for sure look" for some other time and hear me out pehele." He replied while faking hurt as if maine isse naam bolne ke liye na naa bola ho but isse iski property maang li ho.

"Yanny yrrr!!!!!!! Bahaut badha kandh hogaya." Daksh said whining like a kid.

"Okay fine bol ab kya kaandh karke aaya! I know tune hi kuch kiya hoga jiski bharpaai mujhe hi karni hogi." I asked while shaking my head.
