Day 24

Alyssa Rae's POV....

“Love wake up, your Dad is here.” I whined, fighting with the hands who's trying to wake me.
“Come on love, its already 10:30 in the morning. Your Dad is here, he wants to talk to you.”
“I want to sleep.”
“Come on love, I'll cuddle with you later. Okay?” I was forced to go down and talk to Dad.
Russell gave Dad a coffee, while he gave me hot chocolate and sandwich.
“Thank you.” I asked him to stay beside me.
“Alyssa, we need to talk alone.” I shook my head
“Just say what you want to say Dad.”
“Why do you have to disrespect Heather like that?” I knew it. Its all about his mistress.
“You will really stress me out about your mistress? Why can't she take the truth and asking you to take care of what I told her? If she can't take it she shouldn't have done it in the first place. We both know she's never been a mother to me and she will never be. If you talk to me about her again, just forget that you have a daughter. I will never like her, and you cheating with Mom will never be okay. If you don't have anything to say, you can leave.”
“You don't understand Alyssa.”
“I do understand, I was a child back then but not dumb. Mom was crying every night, she even begs her to leave our family alone. But you're stupid to think that she hurt your manipulative mistress and you ordered her to leave. I knew, because I saw it. You keep me away from my Mother and now that you know I have contacts with her you wanted to take me away again? No, I will not let that happen. You should wake up and learn that you're being manipulated.” I stand up and pulled Russell with me.
“I want to sleep.” Russell nodded and cuddled me.

“I didn't know that your family problem was this complicated.”
“I wished it wasn't, I wished he stayed faithful to my Mom. God forbid them to have a kid, that's why they're having a hard time to bare a kid. She's trying to control everything.”
“Were you forced in this engagement?” I nodded
“Your Mom is coming back for you, isn't she?” I nodded again, I felt comfortable in his arms and started to drip off to sleep.
“Sleep well Love, I'll stay here.”

I woke up and felt the bedside empty, I was about to sit up when I felt hands on my waist.
“Sleep some more, you only sleep for almost 2 hours love. Do you need anything?” I look at him, he set aside his laptop and cuddled me. I guess he's working
“I want ice cream.”
“But you still haven't eat anything yet, do you have anything in mind to eat aside from ice cream?” I shook my head
“Okay, this is just today. I'll get you your ice cream. Sit down first, are you comfortable?” I nodded, he left and come back with Ice cream on his hand and two spoons.
“You love rocky road, so this is what I got.” I nodded
“Thank you.” We almost finish eating the ice cream, cuddling. Its so comfortable this way.

When someone decided to barge in and ruin my day.
“Alyssa! Come down here, talk to me!” it was my Step Mom, Russell covers my ears and told me to continue eating.
“Let me handle that old—” he hugged me tightly
“No, calm down. You can't stress yourself, it will affect our baby.” I sighed, still standing up and face my Step Mom.
“What?” I asked, Russell holding my waist
“What did you say to your Father?! Why is he upset?!”
“I just told him that I saw what happened the night he ordered my Mom to leave. She begs you to leave our family, she was on her knees. She didn't push you off the stairs, you jumped yourself.” She was stunned for a moment and was about to attack me
“You—”
“Try to hurt her and you will see what I'm going to do with you!” Russell's voice roars around the house
“I'll make sure that your Mother will not have a time to come back in this country! Just wait and see!”
“What do you think you can do to her? You're nothing but someone who's sleeping with another woman's husband, you don't work. You literally have nothing! I am the one, my company was the one who's keeping you alive by feeding you. Do you really think you can do anything to my Mom? I doubt that.” she attacked me again and Russell pushed her, causing her to fall in the ground.
“With all due respect, leave our house now or I'll call the cops for you.” She stormed out of the house, I breathe heavily and my stomach suddenly hurts.
“Calm down love, breathe. Come on, follow me.” I started to breathe properly and throw up after. He cleaned everything and made me sit on the bed.
“This is not good, do you still want to eat your ice cream or do you want to rest?”
“Rest.” he nodded and tuck me in. He turned on the TV and lay down beside me, caressing my belly. Its not yet visible, but it's comforting.
I started giggling while watching a movie.
“Why are you giggling? Its a horror movie, love.”
“Look at his face, its horrible.” He flinched when the man suddenly shows up in the screen and I cannot control my laugh.
“You really enjoy this hm?”
“Look at his face, its really horrible. And the way he walks. Its funny.” he chuckles  and his phone rang.
“Its Mom, I need to answer the call.” he picked up the phone and answered it, while caressing my hair.

“Yes Mom, she tried to attack Alyssa. Please file a complaint against her, we don't want her to come near Alyssa or this house again.”
“Yes, she throws up after.”
“I don't care, if she want to file a complaint against me. She can do that for all I care.”
“Yes Mom, sure. I'll ask her if she want anything.”
“Love, Mom will visit us. She's asking if you want anything?” I look up at him and started thinking.
“I want a green grapes with sour candy. Also chilli sauce.” he nodded and after that he put his phone down and cuddle me again.
“Mom will visit us, do you want to take a quick shower?” I nodded and stand up. He began fixing the bed and after I take a shower, Tita arrive.
“Lets go down, Mom is here. She said she have a good news.” I nodded

“How's my favorite girl?” I smiled and hug her back
“I'm good Tita, thank you.”
“Come on, I bought you your green grapes.”
While I was eating, Tita keeps on combing my hair. She's talking to Russell about work too.
“Love.” I look up
“I have meetings tomorrow, Mom will be here to take care of you. Is that okay?”
“Yes, you can go back to work. I'll be fine.”
“This is just for tomorrow love—”
“No, Russell. I mean it, you need to go back to work. I can handle myself, my bump is not visible yet. Also Tita is here, we'll be fine.”
“But—” I shush him
“No buts. This topic is closed, you will come back to work tomorrow.” I said and started eating again. Tita and Russell started talking again and he's asking her to convince me that he can work from home.
“Stop whispering Russell, its annoying.” Tita laugh and I look at Russell annoyed.
“Love please, I don't want to work in the office. I want to stay here with you, I can work here. I just want to take care of you too.” I shook my head
“No.”
“But why? I can give you cuddles.” I contemplate.
“Love, I can give you cuddles and your cravings. Massage you and all. I can work here.” he's right, I want those but
“No.” he sighed defeated. Tita is laughing on his misery.
“I don't want to eat anymore.”  I pushed the grapes and chilli sauce.
“No, no. Eat more love, I'll come back to work. I promise.”
“Promise?” He nodded and give me his pinky finger. I ate another one and stand up.
“I'm full.” I go back to his room and sleep. Minutes after I feel his arms around me.
“That's cheating hm. You made me promise and you didn't finish the fruits.”  I smiled
“I'm full.”
“Hmm, okay. Not a problem, you can eat again after you woke up.” I nodded
“I need to go back to work too.”
“You don't have to work now, but I understand you're the one who's running your company. How about I bring my work to your office?” I shook my head
“No, its okay. I can handle it.”

He's too caring, I don't want to be attached again and feel hurt. I know he's doing his best because we're expecting but I can't accept the fact that he's like this because we're having a baby.
