When It's Too Late

Day 20

Alyssa Rae's POV....

I woke up and feel something heavy in my waist. I look and noticed it was Russell's arms. He changed my clothes from the dress to pajamas. I look at the clock its 5:30 in the morning. I feel like eating ice cream, I tiptoe through the door and I was about to open the fridge when I noticed that there's a fruits in the table. I decided to wake up Russell, he cuts watermelon perfectly. I want him to cut it.

“Russell, wake up.” he groaned and sleep again
“Russell, wake up. I want to eat.” he's eyes were open in an instant.
“What do you want to eat?”
“There's a watermelon downstairs. I want you to cut it like how you do.” he nodded and stand up.
“Good morning love, did you have a good sleep?” I nodded
“That's good. Let's go and I'll cut the watermelon for you.”
“What else do you want to eat?” he ask while he's cutting it open
“Ice cream, I want to dip it in ice cream.” he nodded
“But not too much okay? Its still Early, we need to eat something later before we go to work.” I nodded.
“Okay.” he gave me the watermelons and ice cream.
“I'll be back okay?” I nodded and continue eating. He came back after 5 minutes and started cooking
“Don't finish the whole ice cream love, you need to eat your meal later.” he's late, I already finished it.
“I'm done.” he looked at me wide-eyed
“You finished it all?” I nodded
“I told you not too much right? I told you don't finish it, how are you going to eat your breakfast now? Its bad to feed the baby cold things in the morning.” I just look at him
“Are you listening Alyssa?”
“Yes.” He sighed and just let me be
“You need to finish your breakfast okay?”
“I just want some eggs and bacon.” he nodded and cooked some eggs

I'm trying to focus but my mind is taking me somewhere else. I want to see Russell and eat some scallops. I stand up and ready to leave.

“Madam, Ms. Lucky is here.”
“Lucky, what brings you here?” I asked she is smiling at me
“Thank you so much, I didn't know that you personally introduced my works yesterday in your event. My store was packed with customers today!” she said excitedly and almost crying. I can't help but smile
“Really? Then, that's good to hear. Do your best, okay?” she nodded and hugged me
“Can I call you my sister?” I nodded
“Ofcourse, but we cannot tell it to everyone yet okay? Its complicated right now but when everything is okay, I'll be the one to announce it.” she nodded, looking at me
“Promise?” she hand me her pinky
“Promise.” I hold on to her pinky and closed it.

I was trying to contact Russell but he's no answering, I'm currently walking to his office.

“Hi Ms. Alyssa, good afternoon. Are you looking for Sir Russell?” I nodded, it was his secretary.
“Yes, is he busy?”
“He's in the cafeteria Ms. Dunn, he has a visitor but I think he'll be available in no time.” I nodded and headed to the cafeteria. My heels echoed in the room as I walk and try to look for Russell.
I immediately stopped when I saw him with Chesca, she's leaning and resting in Russell's chest. They look so sweet, might as well not disturb them. I turned back on my heels and left.

I visit the restaurant and eat the stupid scallops alone. Its making me mad more that they didn't give me enough sauce for it. Also I wanted it to be baked because I can't eat raw foods.

“Excuse me, I requested for it to be baked. I'm pregnant I can't eat it raw.” She immediately apologize and baked the scallops.
My phone rang and I ignored it. It rings again and again but I just ignored it.

“This is your order Ma'am, enjoy.” the lady smiled and I started eating too. The reviews are right its really good. In the middle of eating it, I feel like I need to eat something with it.
“Can you get me some pizza and 3 scrambled eggs please?” the waiter nodded and after minutes he came back with the orders
My phone rang again and I decided to answer it.
“Hm?” I asked busy eating
“Where are you love? You didn't tell me you're coming here in the office. Where are you now? You're bot answering earlier.” I rolled my eyes and continue eating. Not bothering to answer.
“Alyssa? Where are you?”  he asked again
“Eating.” I continue eating
“Where are you tell me. You're not in the cafeteria, you're not in your office. Tell me.” I didn't answer and just disconnected the call. He's too loud, I'm trying to eat peacefully. He tried to call me again and I turned off my phone.
After eating the scallops, I finished the eggs and pizza. I was so full when I decided to leave, I paid first ofcourse.

“Where were you? I've been trying to call you but I can't reach your phone.”
“Same as you, but I saw you were busy so I decided to eat by myself. And I enjoyed it.” I said, shrugging him off
“She just talked to me about her husband, she has a problem right now. She just needed—”
“You don't have to explain it to me Russell, I don't care. We're frantically not engage and we're not in a relationship. But a piece of advice, she needs to know how to fix her problem. Does she think coming to you after a fight with her husband will solve it? A person needs to leave a baggage behind to keep going.” with that I left and locked my office.
After finishing my work,  I called the company driver to drive me back to the house.

“Come on, let me drive you. I'm sorry love, please. Just let me drive you home.” I ignored him and get inside the company car.

“Love, lets talk please.” I shook my head
“Love we cannot sleep like this, I just want to talk.”
“Then talk to yourself. I already told you I don't want to talk!” I closed the door and sleep.
