Day 23

Alyssa Rae's POV....

We both woke up early to get ready for work, still he's asking for my permission as he want to bring his work in my office, I said no.
“Stop being paranoid, I'll be fine.”
“But you need to tell me if you want to eat something or if something happens. Promise me.” I nodded
“Okay, but let me drive you.” I nodded, not wanting to deal with his attitude.
“Let's go, Mom packed food for you.”
“Really? Thank you.”

“Stop calling me please, I'm trying to work here!” I yelled in my phone, Russell keeps on calling every hour. I cannot finish my work and I'm now pissed.
“I just want to know if you're okay, don't be mad love.” I sighed
“I'm okay, you've asked me that for the nth time and I'm getting pissed now! Don't call me!” I disconnected the call and put it aside as I started working.

I received a call from HR about the application for the secretary that I opened. None of them we're qualified, or should I say they're here not work but to eye my employees and flirt. I don't like it. I want a boy secretary, I feel like its more professional.
“Pull out one employees from each department, tell them I'm gonna meet them in the meeting room.” I was ready to go to the meeting room when Russell barge in my office. I breathe deeply.
“Russell I don't have a time to talk to you. I'm busy.” He walks up to me and hug me. I sighed, this man is overreacting.
“I didn't mean to make you mad. I won't call every hour if you don't like it. I'm just worried, I just want to know how you're doing.”
“We will talk later, I need to go.” He walk behind me, following me to the meeting room. I forgot that the employees here knows him as my best friend. I am mentally laughing.

“So let's start. I called you guys to let you know that I will pick two person to be my assistant.” they gasp, some looks at me wide eye
“So for someone who loves their position right now and didn't want to change their work position it's okay to back out and go back to your respective offices.” I waited 5 minutes but no one left the room. I nodded
“This is such a great opportunity Madam, we will do our best.” I nodded
“So as you see, I want two secretary to handle first the schedules and meetings with other partnered company's and also to keep in track of their data. Second, will handle all of the company's stock, my schedule and agenda's.” They nodded but one asked why am I suddenly looking for a secretary.
“You guys will know in the right time.” they nodded but still confused.
“Okay, answer this. And just leave after.”

“Are you hungry? Eat this.” I ate what he gave me and look at the employees filling up the paper.
“Don't stress yourself too much, just relax.”
“I'm relaxed. Stop overreacting.”
“I'm not overreacting, I'm just worried.”
“Yes you are, calling me every hour? Really? I'm pissed, you won't let me finish my work.”
“I'm sorry love, I was just worried.” I sighed and noticed that the employees were already gone. I collected the papers and this stupid is now hugging me again.
“Its hot here, don't hug me. You're annoying.” He didn't listen and we walked like stupid back to my office.
“Come on, I'm really getting pissed again Russell. Leave.”
“Let's eat lunch, come on.” I lost track of the time, its almost 1 pm. So I just nodded.
“You're irritating you know?” I told him while he's ordering our food.
“Don't be mad, it will make our baby ugly.”
“I have good genes, if the baby is ugly it means its because of you.” he laughed
“So you're saying I'm ugly?” I nodded
“Am I?” okay I'm lying, he's so fucking handsome that's why I liked him.
“Yeah.” I shrugged.

“I'll pick you up later, okay? Text or call me if you want to go home.” I nodded
“I will.” he kissed my forehead
“I'm leaving now, don't tire yourself too much.” I nodded
“Take care.”
I finished my work around 4 pm, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 7 pm and saw Russell watching me sleep. Creepy.
“Why didn't you wake me up? How long have you been here?” I asked as he walk to me
“Two to Three hours I guess? I saw you sleeping peacefully so I don't want to bother you. I also ordered food online, just in case you're hungry. Do you want to eat before we go home?”
“Can we? I'm a bit hungry.”
“Sure, come here. I'll fix the food just sit there.” he picked up the mini table and placed it in front of me and came back again with the foods.
“Isn't this a lot?”
“I didn't know what you want so I just ordered what I think you're going to eat.” I nodded, eyeing the fries.
“No fries for now, just eat rice first and you can eat the fries later.” we started eating silently when the rain pours heavily.
“Do you want me to open the lights?” I asked
“I'll do it, just sit there.” after he turned on the lights, he turned off the lamps and we watched TV.

“What do you think Dad will do? Now that he knows that Mom didn't hurt his mistress?”
“Hm, I can't really say. But if he's smart enough he will leave her and fix everything. I guess he owes you and your Mom an apology.” I stared at the TV, wasn't able to answer. Am I ready for that? I can accept the apology but will I forgive him?
“Its okay if you can't forgive him as soon as possible. We have our own process of healing. If you think that he deserves your forgiveness, then that's your call. You don't have to force yourself.” I nodded.
“Let's go home now, you're sleepy.”
“Yes, we should go now. The rain already stopped, but we need to drive slowly.”

“Who's that?” I asked, someone is outside the house
“I don't know.” he drove passed the girl and when he get off the car the girl screamed his name. It was Chesca. Its like he froze in the floor and she hugged him.
“Why are you here? Did you wait in the rain?” He asked, I immediately get off the car and walk inside the house.
“Alyssa.. wait.” I walked to my room and change
“Alyssa, she needs my help.”
“I didn't stop you, didn't I? But I don't want her inside this house. Its either she'll leave or I will.” I heard him sigh
“Don't sigh at me. Leave if you want, I don't care.”
“I'll be back, I promise.” he walks to me, but I step back.
“Love.. please.” he step again and I step back too.
“Leave if you want to leave.” he sighed and walk out of the room. That's my cue to lock my room and sleep.
Its true that we have a choice in everything, its just that everything we do has consequences.
