Day 14
Alyssa Rae's POV....
It's early in the morning but here we are fighting and screaming on top of our lungs.
“Do you think I will just let my kids grow up without a father?! I won't! So we are getting married whether you like it or not!” he said
“You think you can force me into a fuck up marriage? No you can't, no one can. I'm telling you, you're just going to throw away your money. So stop being delusional that I'll let myself marry you, because I won't!” I said with finality.
“Stop being so—”
“Shut up. Or you will not see me again.” he immediately stop talking and look at me in disbelief. I don't care if my child grow up without a father, I rather let that to happen than let them stay with a parents that doesn't love each other or worse be raised by a toxic family.
“Just come down if you're hungry.” he said after minutes and left.
I continue working inside my room.
**********
I was busy talking to Samantha on my phone when Russell knocked.
“Yes, inform Carlos that I sent everything that he needed to print out. Just call me if you guys have questions or there's something wrong. Okay?” I hang up the call and look at him.
“What are you doing here?” I asked walking to my Laptop
“You need to eat, its already noon. You keep on ordering take outs, and its not healthy for you.” I sighed.
“I'm fine, I'm not hungry. I just ate, but can you maybe ask Tita to come here. I have something to talk to her.” he closed the door and walk inside my room.
“Alyssa, if its about the wedding I'm telling you the wedding is happening whether you like it or not.”
“Shut up Russell, If you don't want to call her then I will. I don't care about the weedding because I'm sure, I'm not getting married.”
“I already talked to your father.”
“Well I know you too would get alone because you're just like him. I'm asking myself, why are you like my father instead of yours? Tito is such a gentleman, and you're far from being one.”
“I'm losing my patience now Alyssa—”
“Why did I hit a nerve? Not my fault though, just stating facts.” he walk out of the room and left. I didn't see him all afternoon, which is good for me. If we continue seeing each other its not really good for me. And all I want is to just ignore him completely.
**********
“Alyssa?” I heard Tita's voice calling for me.
“Yes Tita?” I am busy baking in the kitchen when she arrived.
“What are you doing? You should be resting right now. Where's Russell?”
“I'm fine Tita, I don't know where is Russell. We just had a little bit of you know what is it. He is still forcing me to marry him. And I don't want to, I'm sorry Tita. I know this will hurt you because he's your son. But I can't let my child have the same childhood as mine. I know if I get married with him, it will be toxic. I don't want my child to suffer.” she sighed and nodded.
“And he told me he already asked for my fathers approval. Even though I declined. Honestly Tita, I can't take a risk anymore. I just can't.”
“I understand Alyssa, I know what you've been through with my son. But I hope you can forgive him in the future. I will not force you with anything, if you think that would be the best for both of you, for your child, then I won't question it. I just want you to be happy again. You seem so stressed with this, I already talked to your Mom, she'll be here in no time.” I sighed and nodded.
“Thank you Tita, I know if I marry Russell I'll be blessed because you're my mother-in-law. But I know that's not the point of marriage.”
“I'm glad that you'll be the mother of my grandchild, I know you'll be a great Mom.” my eyes started to blur. No one knows but I'm so afraid, afraid that my decision will ruin my childs future. I know everyone would think that Russell is now trying so why not give him a chance? Does it really need to take this long? Or would it be worth it? Because no child deserve to live without a father, but if that's the only way to avoid getting hurt, its fine with me.
“It will be okay Alyssa, everything will be fine. Just cry it all out.” Will it really be okay?
************
“Alyssa, come on the food is ready.” Russell called me. I walk out of my room and we began eating.
“Have you already go to the doctor? You know, check up?” I nod and continue eating.
“I know you don't want to talk about the wedding but we need to get married as soon as possible. Your tummy will be visible in no time and—” He stopped talking when I put down my utensils. I stand up and walked out of the dining.
“You can't just walk away everytime we're talking about this, Alyssa.”
“I can, because I'm not going to marry you, Russell.” I said looking directly on his eyes, he sighed.
“This is not about us Alyssa, its about the child!” so he just really want to marry me because he got me pregnant.
“Don't raise your voice at me because I know what I'm doing. I don't want a loveless marriage Russell, I rather raise my child alone.”
“We can try to make it work. Why don't we try?” I raise my brows.
“Try? I already did that. It didn't worked. The last time I checked too, you love someone else. Isn't that right? So how could you suggest we try? That's just so selfish of you, when you know yourself can't love anyone.”
“Are we still going to argue about Chesca?”
“No we aren't arguing about her. I'm telling you, I'm not going to marry you.” I walk back to my room.
To be continued...
