A/n: Happy New Year everyone. I hope you had a great start so far. Although I will be quite busy with several events - including my birthday - this month, I will try to write and upload more. I only have two exams and one of them is in English which is one of the easiest subjects for me and I can't study much for the other one either.

Y/n's POV:
After quite some time, I finally made a decision. I'll go to Nat. She was the one really reaching out to me and I'm sure that she knows what she's doing. Yes, she isn't the only one that has been at rock-bottom before, but I just feel like she can help me best.
It was 2am and most should've been asleep by then. Using my powers, I opened the vent at the ceiling and flew into it. Then, I closed it behind me and began sneaking through the narrow vents.
Fortunately, Nat's room wasn't very far from mine. I'm telling you one thing, do not try to crawl quietly through vents in the middle of the night when you're absolutely exhausted, in any possible way. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally - you name it.
When I reached her room, I could see her laying on her bed, reading a book. I did not expect what happened next. I must've made a sound because she suddenly looked right at me, well, the vent to be exact. Immediately, I ducked my head, I didn't want her to notice me just yet. I still wanted to get ready and think about what I could say without breaking down or anything.
Let's just say, that didn't work exactly as planned. I raised my head a bit again, so I could see her. She put the book aside, stood up and approached the vent, not removing her gaze.
"Is someone in there?" she asked, sounding a bit annoyed.
I didn't dare to move a muscle.
"In case someone is there, I'd advice you to come down or I'll get you myself" she continued, her voice suddenly stern.
God, she can be scary. 'Should I go down or back to my room in hope she won't come after me?' It was hard to decide. If I jumped down, I wouldn't know what to say and I'd risk breaking down, but if I went back to my room, all this was for nothing.
"Guess I'll have to check. If it's you Clint, you're in deep trouble" she said, getting even closer to me.
'Right, I forgot that Clint likes to crawl through the vents to pull pranks on people, especially Nat. Welp, here goes nothing' I thought, opening the vent with my powers and holding it in the air so it wouldn't fall on Nat who was now situated directly underneath it.
She seemed to have realized that it couldn't be Clint doing that and her face softened. "N/n, is that you? Would you like to come down?"
In reply, I floated the ventilation lattice away from her and somewhere onto the floor before showing her my face. I still didn't say anything. Her eyes widened, probably still not believing that it was actually me. She then broke the silence again: "I'm sorry for shouting. I thought you were Clint trying to pull a prank on me again. Would you like to come down?"
I slowly flew out of the vent, now standing a little distanced from her. I tried to say something, but nothing came out and I lowered my head in defeat, suddenly finding the carpet very interesting. My hands found their places crossed, hugging myself.
