Just a wrong number story(,right?)

Chapter Ten

I had been patrolling for a while now and it got quite boring. There weren't many crimes at this time.

Just when I was about to head home, I witnessed a robbery in an alley. There were five guys seemingly robbing a terrified woman.

Standing at the entrance of the alley, I cleared my throat to get their attention.

"Leave her alone!"

"What're you gonna do about it?" said one guy and the others laughed.

While they were occupied with laughing, I used one hand to push them all against a wall using my wind control power. My other hand was used to check their stuff for things that could belong to the woman and returning them to her.

"Are you missing anything?" I asked the woman.

"N-no, I think I got everything back. Thank you so much" she replied, stuttering.

"No problem, now please leave quickly. You don't need to see this"

With that she rushed away.

Now my attention was on the guys again. I could easily solve this by letting the power I was already using finish the job, but I was bored and hadn't fought properly in a while, so I let them all down. They immediately ran towards me. I teleported every few seconds giving a punch to somebody different each time at places where they didn't expect it before.

I carried that scheme on for a while until only one was not knocked out yet. I made myself invisible, went behind him and kicked him in the nuts. (hehe)
He cried out, fell forward and landed on his head. That must've hurt, on several locations.

Fighting can be really boring sometimes, but I don't want to make it even harder for myself. I'm already not using the easiest way. Complete combat would be dumb though, like who'd let themself get severe injuries when it can easily be prevented. Some criminals are more than decent at fighting.

With the techniques I'm using, I rarely get hurt. But when I do and it's not just a little scratch I have slight troubles caring for it myself. I do have much experience, just not on myself.

Back to my patrolling, I got a bit carried away.

I tied the five unconscious guys up, sticked a note at each forehead with sentences like: «I tried to rob a lady, but got caught and delivered here», each varying slightly from the others, made myself invisible and teleported us all into the nearest police station. When I saw that they were taken care of, I teleported to the alley where we were before and continued my patrol.

That was my way of doing that. My notes always had a wind symbol in the low right corner, which was also on the belt of my suit.

A bit later when I actually wanted to make my way home, the Avengers crossed my path. Well, not all of them, just Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Falcon and Captain America.

I had just been jumping from rooftop to rooftop when an arrow came from my left side flying my way. I noticed it barely before it would've hit me and used my power to make it fly right where it came from. I immediately knew it was from Hawkeye, only he can shoot that accurate.

The Falcon appeared a bit higher in the air, Black Widow behind me and Captain America in front of me.

Cap spoke up: "Look, we're not going to hurt you if you just come with us voluntarily. Fury would like to ask you some questions."

Black Widow continued: "Otherwise we'll take you involuntarily and possibly harm you in the process. We wouldn't want that now, would we?"

'Great!' I thought sarcastically. 'Just what I needed'.

"Nah, I'll pass. I'm happy with the freedom I have. Why can't you let me do my thing? I'm not a villain!"

Now The Falcon came to word: "Fury's orders. You could be a threat, villain or not."

I was so occupied with talking, I didn't notice Hawkeye shooting a tiny arrow at the back of my neck until it hit me.

"What the hell!" I exclaimed rubbing my neck.

They took this as a sign to attack. I was still aware enough to realize that I should do something and teleported on a rooftop next to the one we were all on right before someone or something could hit me (again).

"What was that even for?" I asked when I started to feel a little dizzy.

I received no reply. Before they could reach me again though, I used a big amount of power to teleport into my apartment making me even dizzier. I had never teleported that far.

When I arrived, I quickly used the last bit of power I had to lock everything. Just then everything went black and I felt my body collide with the floor.

I don't think I'm good at writing action scenes, so sorry for them. I hope they're understandable.
Sorry for not updating in a few days, I don't really have a scheme.
