Chapter 21

Dad told Lilly to go home so the three us of can talk. Uncle Louis ended up taking the twins over to his place since I needed time. So here I find myself just sitting on the couch with mum and dad across from me. I don't look up at them but I can feel their eyes looking at me. I look over at my phone that keeps getting texts from Lilly. She's worried. I know she is. I flip my phone over and turn it on silent. I then place my hands together and keep my head down.

"Matilda we are always here for you but you need to tell us what happened" Dad says

I don't answer. I just sit down in silence with my head down still.

"please just talk to us honey" mum says

"I-I don't really know exactly how it happened. One minute I was walking to class in the stairwell and then I felt pressure all over me. I ran out of the school and went to my car and drove home where Uncle Zayn was with Cole" I say

"I'm so sorry my love. We are both really sorry this has happened to you. You never deserved anything like this" Dad says

Mum comes over and sits down next to me. She pulls me into her arms to try and give me some comfort. It doesn't really help though because I try not to pull away. I don't really want anyone touching me right now but I can't tell mum and dad that. Mum finally lets go of me and gets up. She walks out of the room and doesn't come back. Dad looks at me for a while until he finally speaks again.

"I want to go forward with legal action but you have to be on board with it" Dad says

"I umm. Can I think about it" I say

"Yes love but we need to go to the hospital to get a kit done or else nothing would be able to happen if you want to precede" Dad says

"okay can we go now to get it over with" I say

"Of course love. I will call the hospital o make sure they have security waiting" Dad says

Dad gets up and takes his phone out. He walks out back onto the porch and phones the hospital. I slowly get up off the couch and walk over to the door where my shoes are. I slide them on and wait for dad to come back inside. Dad walks back in almost immediate and puts his shoes on. We walk out the big front door and get into the car. For once there aren't fans waiting outside. I guess dad or mum did something about that. Dad drives out of the gate and makes a left heading towards the hospital.

We finally make it to the hospital and head inside from a back door. Once in the hospital we are taken into a private room and told to wait for a nurse and a doctor to come see us. I wasn't looking forward to this at all and I didn't want to do it but I had to because what If I do want to move forward and take more actions towards Charlie. I don't know though. The doctor walks in not to long after I got lost in my thoughts again.
