Chapter 16

We finally make it back into our once quiet house and Matilda runs over to her toys that we had to leave behind. She starts playing and Rose goes to sit down in the living room. I bring our bags upstairs and into our bedroom. I place them down and notice a note on the bed. I pick it up and read it.

"Hey honey I know you'll read this when you get back from tour with Rose and Matilda. I left a little surprise for you in the guest room or should I say used to be guest room"

I put the note down and head to the guest room that's right next to our room. I open the door and see half the room purple and the other half green. It's filled with baby toys, two cribs, a changing table, and two rocking chairs in the corner. I call Rose upstairs and when she gets to the guest room her mouth drops.

"Oh my god. who did this" She says

"My mum did this while we were gone" I say

"Did you know" She says

"Nope I found a note on our bed and she told me to look in here" I say

"I love this. it's so cute in here" Rose says

"Yeah it's beautiful" I say

Rose snaps a picture and sends it to the girls who we of course haven't seen in a long time. Rose goes off to talk to the while I go downstairs to see what Matilda is up to. When I go downstairs I can't find Matilda anywhere. I start to panic a little until she jumps up behind the couch and scares me.

'You scared me love" I say

"Haha I know daddy I tried" She says

'Well you did a good job" I say

We have been home for an about a week now and Rose has zero energy. She's so exhausted all the time because the twins won't leave her alone. At least the twins should be here in two months so she can finally relax. I'm just glad the tour didn't get extended because I wouldn't want Rose to go through having the twins while we were still on the road. That would be horrible for the three of us. I decide to go find Matilda since i've been eating a snack in the kitchen. I walk into the tv room where I hear little giggles and see her playing with her One Direction dolls.

"Hey love" I say sitting on the floor next to her

"Daddy look it's you" She says showing me my doll

'Yes that's me. Do you know who the rest of these people are" I say

She hold up Louis doll and then the rest of the boys dolls and tells me who they are. For being only six she does sort of take good care of her stuff but not really. Louis's doll has a dent in the head from being thrown around since she thinks he can fly and Niall's doll has a small food stain on it since she knows Niall likes to eat so she tries to feed the doll. I take this time to talk to Matilda about being gentle and being careful.

'Hey love I need to talk to you" I say

"Yes dadda" She says

"You need to start being very gentle with your toys because you need to practice" I say

'Why" she says

"well when your brother and sister come you need to be gentle with them because they will get hurt easily" I say

"Why will they get hurt" she says concerned

"They are very little and you don't want them to get hurt like when you fell and hurt your knee" I say

"that hurt" Matilda says

"Yeah I know love" I say

Matilda goes back to playing with her dolls so I decide to go check on Rose. I get up off the floor and head upstairs to our room and walk inside. I walk over to the side of the bed that Rose is sitting in and sit down next to her.

"How are you today love" I say

"I'm okay just really exhausted" She says

"Do you want to come sit downstairs with me" I say

"Yeah I would like that" Rose says

I help her out of bed and we go downstairs. Rose says downstairs and sits on the couch that's next to Matilda. I go into the kitchen and grab a glass of water for Rose. When I'm handing it to her the doorbell rings. I go over and open the door and the boys are standing there. Matilda runs over to them and hugs Niall.

"Hi" She says pulling Niall into the house

We all go into the living room and sit down together.

"Why are you guys here today" I say

"We just wanted to stop by and see how things are going" Liam says

"Well I'm ready for these babies to come out of me because I can barley move" Rose says

"How long do you have left" Zayn says

"two months. they are supposed to be due around Louis's birthday" Rose says

"Oh yeah I forgot about that" Zayn says

"Unc Z come with me"Matilda says

Matilda takes Zayn upstairs while the rest of the boys, Rose, and I talk for a while. We just talk about the twins, Matilda, and we showed the the twins room my mum designed for us. The boys ended up leaving and we just decided to watch a movie before dinner.
