Your life was always ordinary and boring despite one thing: you're impossibly unfailingly lucky.
Wherever you go, people tend to gift you stuff out of the blue. If you participate in a tombola or something, you always find the first prize at your doorstep or in your mail, depending on what it is.
At college, you got a room at the dorm for yourself even though there were too many students than spaces, and everyone had at least one buddy to share with.
When you started working as a hunter, things got even weirder but lucky. When you needed some days off but didn't dare to ask your captain, you suddenly got the day off due to various events. Either a co-hunter took the missions, or you were granted vacancy because of low wanderer activities. Something always happens, and you have time to recover.
And if this wasn't enough, you have a very attentive guardian angel. Whenever something dangerous occurs around you, you're always got out safe.
The creepy man in the white van that wanted to lure you in as you were a little kid (of course you run away, you're not stupid!) was found captured at a lamppost before the police station a day later, committing all his crimes as he yelled it to the people crossing him.
The car that nearly hit you as you walked along a street? Some mysterious stranger pushed you aside, so it crashed into the wall, not you, and nobody had seen who the savior was.
Your mean bullies in college class? They moved out of the city shortly after they harassed you.
You even managed to get a second very well-paid job as bodyguard for this one-in-a-century artist, Rafayel, as you investigated a suspicious wanderer incident connected to one of his paintings.
And this guy really is something else! He is dashingly handsome and wealthy, but his attitude, oh man... this amethyst-haired guy only causes trouble for your patience and your heart. Despite his sharp tongue, Rafayel always stirs butterflies in your belly whenever you're near him.
You always thought the heavens blessed you. Then, one day, something made you doubt your luck and guardian angel....
It was when you went on a date with your new hunter partner. Xavier is good-looking, with silvery hair and blue eyes like the striking sky on a hot summer day, and very well-mannered.
You were so happy that someone was finally interested in you and wanted to ask you out on a date that you immediately agreed to his invitation.
You rarely went out since nobody ever asked you what was odd. At least that's what your BFF Tara always told you; according to her, you were beautiful and a gift for every man who wants you. But there was never one. It was not that the boys at college weren't displaying interest, but somehow either didn't show up at your date time or suddenly moved away after checking you out, very obviously. Or the one time that your crush looked like he got in a heavy fight after asking you to prom and was taken care of in the hospital. Needless to say, you had to go alone on that evening.
