Eryx.
I checked my watch for what felt like the hundredth time. Asher and the team had been gone for hours, tasked with placing cameras around the warehouse. I paced back and forth in the conference room, my mind racing with possibilities.
Ryker looked up from his laptop, a hint of amusement on his face. "You're going to wear a hole in the floor, Eryx."
I forced a smile, trying to ease the tension. "Just eager to get this done."
Reno, who was studying the warehouse blueprints, spoke up. "Asher's team should be finishing up soon. We'll get the feed from the cameras any minute now."
I nodded, my eyes fixed on the clock. Come on, Asher. Let's get this done.
Just then, my phone buzzed. I answered, hoping it was Asher with an update.
"Hey, we're in position," Asher's voice came through the line. "Cameras are up, and we're getting a clear feed."
I let out a breath, feeling a mix of relief and anticipation. "Good work, Asher. Get back here and let's review the footage."
"Already on our way," Asher replied.
I hung up, turning to Ryker and Reno. "Let's get ready to review the footage. We need to know what we're up against tonight."
Ryker nodded, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "I'll get the feed up on the screen."
Reno stood, stretching his arms over his head. "Let's do this."
I took a deep breath, my heart racing with anticipation. Tonight was going to be a long night.

We stood in the organization's briefing room, our gear and equipment laid out before us. The mission was set to take place tonight, and we were going over the final details.
"Alright, let's review the plan," I said, my eyes scanning the room. "Ryker, can you walk us through the warehouse layout and security system?"
Ryker nodded, his laptop screen glowing in the dim light. "We've got a clear feed from the security cameras. The warehouse has multiple entrances and exits, but we'll be entering through the east door."
Asher checked his gun, his movements swift and precise. "I've got the layout memorized. We'll move in, take out the guards, and secure the area."
Reno reviewed the blueprints one last time. "We need to be careful. The victims are being held inside the warehouse. We don't want to risk harming them."
I nodded, my eyes locked on the mission plan. "We'll move in tonight, at 10 pm. Ryker, can you confirm that the security system is hacked and we have a clear feed?"
Ryker nodded. "We're good to go. I'll be guiding you through the comms system, providing real-time updates on the warehouse layout and guard positions."
The team nodded, their faces set with determination. We were ready.
"Alright, let's gear up and get ready to move out," I said, my voice low and even.
The team began to gather their gear, their movements swift and efficient. We were a well-oiled machine, ready to take on whatever lay ahead.

The warehouse stood like a monolith in the darkness, its towering walls and razor-wire fencing a stark reminder of the sinister activities that took place within. The surrounding area was desolate, the only sound the distant hum of traffic on the nearby highway. Asher, Reno, and I would be executing the rescue, moving stealthily into the warehouse to extract the victims. Ryker would remain in the van, parked a block away, providing real-time directions and guidance through the comms system.
