Few weeks later~
The lights shone brightly in the crowded press conference room, illuminating the sea of expectant faces before me. I sat poised and confident, ready to face the final question of the day.
The journalist, a well-known figure in the industry, smiled warmly as she began her inquiry. "Adeline, if I may ask something a bit personal..." she said, her voice measured.
I nodded graciously, intrigued. "Of course, please go ahead."
The journalist's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "There have been pictures circulating of you and Eryx. The public is wondering... is this another fake relationship?"
The room fell silent, and I could feel Eryx's eyes on me from the back of the room. I took a deep breath, a sly grin spreading across my face.
"Oh, it's a fake relationship, guys," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "But unlike last time, we're planning to fake it till the end of the world... right, Eryx?"
The room erupted into laughter, and I caught Eryx's eye, winking at him. He smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
The journalist laughed, nodding. "Well, I think that answers our question. Thank you, Adeline, for being so candid."
As the interview wrapped up, and the cameras stopped rolling, Eryx made his way over to me, a proud smile on his face.
"You nailed it," he whispered, taking my hand.
I grinned, squeezing his hand. "Fake it till we make it, right?"
Eryx chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "You're something else, Addie."
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here."
Without another word, Eryx leaned in, his lips brushing against mine. The room around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in the moment.
As we broke apart for air, Eryx smiled, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
"Fake it till forever, then."
