Zero, 13 years old, walked down the street with blank lilac eyes and a white bag hanging from his arm, the wounds were still fresh in his mind; a Pureblood... a Pureblood had attacked his family, his parents, his... his twin brother. His stomach twisted and he wanted to just rip himself apart for being something that he hated so much. Zero knew what he would sooner or later become and he hoped that when that happened he would just die. The boy sighed softly and looked up, watching as people walked by him. But then he stopped, his eyes widening slightly. A woman walked by and he could tell... she was a Vampire. Her hair was long and jet black with vibrant silver eyes. Trotting behind her was a girl that looked around his age and her eyes looked empty, her hair long just like the Vampire.
She looked over at him, the little girl. Her blue eyes showing straight into her soul almost. She looked broken as the wind whipped her long hair ash grey haired that reached her bottom around her. But she only stopped for a second before the woman muttered a ‘come’ to the girl and she instantly followed. Zero watched unable to move as they walked by. Zero didn’t even notice if the girl was human or Vampire... all he could pay attention to were the girl’s eyes... They almost screamed for him to help her.
“Help me, Zero... Zero... Please... Help me...”
Zero’s eyes flung open, for some reason he was shaking. His breathing heavy as he sat up and ran his fingers through his white hair, “What... the hell...?” He muttered to himself. Why was he all of a sudden thinking about that? Just then his alarm clock started going off and he glared at it as he turned it off. “Must be getting sick,” he reasoned and got up and dressed. Today was the start of the new school year and that meant the start of him having to stay up late and watch those damn Vampires. That must have been the reason for the dream. Zero seemed to not pay much attention to what was going on around him, all he could think about was that dream... So all too soon it was time. Zero stood with a glare as the doors opened and the Night Class walked out. The girls were screaming and he had to yell at a few, “Get back!” He demanded and as he turned... His heart all but stopped.
Walking obediently next to the blonde and green eyed Vampire was... was the girl. Her hair was cut short and she looked less broken but it was her. Zero took a step forward not realising what he was doing and ran straight into one of the Vampires. “Hey, watch it!” Aidō demanded with a pout. This gained the attention of the others and Zero took a step back, glaring at Aidō. But it was enough to gain the attention of the girl.
She turned and looked at Zero, her eyes this time not showing the desperation but instead amusement. “Heh,” She looked at Ichijō, “Seems like Kiryū-kun wants to tag along.” Her voice was surprisingly childish considering she was only about eight centimetres shorter than Zero. But Zero couldn’t glare at her despite the fact that she was both a Vampire and she was making fun of him. Zero just stood there watching her go, barely paying attention to the other Day Class girls. For the rest of the night he seemed like he was in some sort of daze. He didn’t even know that Yūki was trying to talk to him as they walked. He merely sighed and walked off; it was still night and by this time the Night Class would be getting out. Inwardly he hoped that she would come find him but... he doubted it.
His feet lead him to the stables where he found Lily. Zero sighed softly and reached out to gently pet her when he heard footsteps behind him. He quickly grabbed his gun and turned, his gun right in the face of her. The girl... Zero stopped and found himself almost frozen.
“... Ne, are you going to keep that gun pointed at my face or are you going to lower it?” She asked, her voice a bit more blank than it had been earlier but childishly light still. The girl known as Saiko put her hand on her hip as Zero slowly lowered Bloody Rose. “You look hungry,” Saiko leaned closer to him with her head cocked, offering her wrist out to him. Zero watched her and stumbled back.
