Before I know it, two hours have passed before I even notice it. The arm he's lying on is completely numb, and if it wasn't for that and the fact that I'm getting hungry, I'd let him sleep a little while longer. But if I'm hungry, I'm sure he is too.
"Hey, Wes," I mumble softly, not wanting to scare him. He doesn't even stir. I grip his shoulder some and gently shake him. "Wes? Are you hungry?" Again, no response. Damn. He must've been really tired, or I knocked his ass out earlier. "Baby?" I ask, knowing if he can hear me, that'll definitely wake him up. But it doesn't. I carefully ease my arm out from under him. "Fine. I'll let you sleep a little bit longer."
I climb out of bed and make my way to the kitchen. I guess I'll just eat something small for now, and we'll get something delivered later. I open up the cupboard that holds most of my snacks and settle on a cup of ramen.
After cooking and eating them, I go back to the room to see Wes still sound asleep. Seeing his clothes on the floor, I bend down and fold them before setting them on the nightstand. I climb back in beside him and scroll on my phone for a little bit. And right when I decide to try waking him because it's getting a little late, I notice his phone light up before it starts vibrating, signaling an incoming call. I get up and walk over to his phone to see it's his mom calling. I put my hand on his shoulder again and try to shake him awake, but all I manage to get from him is a groan.
Shit. What should I do? I don't want her to get sent to his voicemail and cause her to freak out about his whereabouts. I contemplate a few more seconds before reaching for his phone and bringing it up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Oh. Ryland, hi."
"Hey, Mrs. Hatcher. Uh, Wes fell asleep. Do you need me to wake him up?"
"No, that's okay. Is he staying with you tonight? I'm fine with him just staying if you are."
I try not to sound too excited with my answer. "Oh, yeah. That's cool with me."
"Alright then. It was nice talking to you. Goodnight, Ryland."
"You too, ma'am. Goodnight," I say before hanging up. Fuck. I hope I didn't give anything away. I feel like it went well, but I just really hope Wes won't be upset with me for it.
I set his phone down before climbing back in bed. I lie on my side and scoot closer to him. At least I don't have to worry about him having to leave tonight. I was kind of hoping he'd stay after what we did anyway.

I'm not really sure how much more time has passed, but I'm having to pull myself out of bed again due to my full bladder. Once that's taken care of, I go ahead and brush my teeth to get ready for bed. I'll try to wake him one more time to eat something before I do go to sleep, but I don't think he's going to wake up any tonight. And I can't help but feel kind of proud that just my finger put him out like this. I'm trying not to let it get to my head, but it totally is.
When I come back to the room, I see Wes propped up on his elbow, checking his phone.
"Oh. You're awake," I say, moving over to sit near the foot of the bed.
"Yeah... Sorry I fell asleep." He moves to sit up better before meeting my eyes. I can sense the little bit of awkwardness coming from him. I expected it, but I hope he doesn't let it get to him too much. "You could've woken me up whenever."
"No, it's okay. And... I tried, but you must've been really tired because you didn't budge."
"Oh. Uh, what about my mom?" he asks, lifting his brows and glancing at his phone. Oh, she probably texted him about what we talked about.
