Chapter 17, Comfort

Solar woke up with a sharp gasp, clutching his plushie to his chest. Suddenly, memories of the person he killed in the forest flooded his mind.
"I didn't mean to," He thought.
"I didn't mean to"
The words repeated in his head as he shook and cried. This was until he felt a familiar pair of arms wrapping around him.
"Solar? My love, what's wrong?"
"R-Ruin?" He breathed out.
"Yes, my love, I'm here, don't worry. You're safe"
Ruin comforted him.
The mechanic calmed down, knowing his boyfriend was alive, and not dead as he originally thought, relief washed over him.
"I thought you were- were..."
"Oh...Oh Solar"
Solar broke down. Sobbing into Ruin's chest. Ruin strokes Solar's rays lovingly. Solar shuddered and let out a soft moan. Ruin blushed, but smiled softly, moving from his rays to his wings. Making Solar whimper softly and quietly.
"Do you like that, my dear?"
"M-Mhm..."
Solar replied, he'd stopped whimpering.
Our mechanic began to feel sleepy. Ruin intertwined their fingers, stroking the back of Solar's hand with his thumb.
"I love you, Ruin"
"I love you too, Solar"
"Promise you won't leave me?"
"Promise"
"You mean it?"
"I do, now rest, my star"

When Solar woke up, he was in bed. He immediately searched for Ruin, but he wasn't there. He sits up, finding a trail of blood. Following the trail, Solar grew worried.
"Ruin? Babe? Where are you?"
There was no response.
"Ru? Love? Please, respond"
He got to the end of the trail. Ruins sat in a puddle of his own blood. Solar froze, shocked and scared.
"Ruin? Honey, please wake up! I can't do this without you"
Solar broke down, sobbing.
"RUIN! FUCKING WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"

"AH!"
"Solar? My dear, what happened? You were crying in your sleep"
Ruin gasped lightly, Solar had unexpectedly hugged him, still sniffling and sobbing.
"I keep seeing you die! I-I hate it! I h-hate it!"
"Hey, hey... Calm down, you'll be okay, I'm not dying anything soon,my love"
"Don't leave me...please"
"I won't, Sol"
Solar sighed, calming down. But still sniffling. Ruin carressed his rays. Solar lets out a small "mh"
"Is that nice, my dear? Do you want me to continue?"
"Yeah..."
Ruins hand trails down yet again, lower and lower.
"Ruin what're you doing?"
"I can stop if you're not comfortable"
"It's not that, I want you too- but a-are you gonna...?"
"Fuck you? Only if you want, but I don't think you're in the right mental state right now"
"Please don't...I don't want too"
"I won't, do you wanna cuddle?"
"yeah...i love you"
"Love you too, my eclipse, if you're okay with the name?"
"...mhm...just don't say it in front of Sun and Moon"
"I won't, love. Try get some rest, I'll be right here"
With those words, Solar's eyes grew heavy, he felt drowsy. He yawns and falls asleep in Ruin's arms
