Allan managed to control his sad emotions, by keeping a very serious look in his face.
"I will never forget what I saw in the first floor. I can't. I can't describe it. They hit us in the back of our head and we woke up in a cellar."
Anton's emotions finally began to show their results.
"Stop it! Please, I don't want to hear the details! I just want to know who saved us from there."
"But those tortures, made me realize that we should show no mercy to everyone who threatens our lives."
"I can see that. No need to explain more about this."
"The "United Peace" army came and saved us and 200 other hostages near that area. They crushed the terrorists there, but their group still exists. And they are more powerful now."
"So we don't know where this strange government soldiers came from. Do we at least know, how this terrorist groups are organized?"
"Yes, fortunately. We have managed to draw a map with the most dangerous groups. We are currently fighting in two fronts. Fighting both soldiers and terrorists."
"That must be hard. Where are the battles located? Do they sometime attack here, or not?"
"Here? Well, you have the luck to see the consequences of the first attack of them in this base. This is one of our small bases. The biggest one is located in Berlin. You should know that our army is all around the world. The battles usually take place 200 km away."
Anton started to move his metallic foot.
"Wait, I remember. I woke up in war, didn't I? There, where I lost my memory and my foot I guess."
"Yes, we managed to defend this base, but our losses were big."
"You know? I am starting to like this foot."
Allan laughed a little.
"You will kick the enemy hard with that. Let's go. I will show you, how our base is organized."
They got up and walked in the direction of the building where Anton was operated.
. . .
Jenny was waiting for Jack to speak. His voice was strange.
"Hi Jenny."
"Hey Jack, sorry to disturb you. I just wanted to ask how well are you going with the experiment. Sorry, maybe I shouldn't ask but I am getting a bit worried."
Jack's response came 4 seconds later.
"Ah, yes. We are finishing the programming. Now we are in the middle of something important!"
"Ok. How long do you think, it would last?"
"Well it's going to take a while. Marc says you should not worry about it."
"Fine. Hope you are alright."
"Bye."
"Bye."
Jenny was looking at the time in her mobile phone. 00:45 A.M. She thought she should sleep and stay quiet until the daylight.
"He will come back for breakfast."
She fell asleep, dreaming of her future again. On the other side Jack washed his face, so he could "cool his head". Brian had left the "Operation Room" and was smoking a cigarette outside. He couldn't handle all those bad situations at once. It was quiet, although the roads were usually "bombarded" with students at that hour. It looked like he had forgotten about his wound. But now he had created bad opinion for both Marc and Greg.
"He was keeping all this secrets. What if his only reason was to revive his mother? Was I just a pawn? No way! He was thinking to use us as sacrifice for the experiment! This doctor is suspicious too. When Marc first gave me his number, he gave me no other information when I asked about him. And now, he tells us stories for children."
He then realized, that was his last cigarette. He continued to think.
"Ah, should I believe the stories, or not? Maybe Marc knows something bad about this 4th dimension and he protected us by going first. What the hell am I thinking?
Brian decided to turn back.
"What did he tell about that foot? It is not there. Pathetic! He is lying us! I should go inside and see what they are doing."
Brian came back in the "Operation Room". Gregorius was still looking at the monitor showing Marc's right foot. Jack was still nervous. He approached Marc to see the monitor. Greg started to explain him the problem.
"See those bones right there?"
Jack laughed ironically.
"Well, I know what they are."
"Ok. Those bones disappear exactly here."
"Yes, you are right! How the hell is that possible!"
Jack checked Marc's right foot.
"I can feel his foot! This means your computer may be broken."
Jack left the room mumbling to himself.
