Jenny and Jack were outside the factory. Jenny couldn't wait to enter the secret lab.
"It's strange. In my dream, I was here and I tried all the machines, but then that masked man came."
"You were probably too tired that night. It was just a nightmare, you don't need to worry about it."
They walked towards the machine and Jack activated it. Jenny was looking curious.
"I don't remember trying this one."
The plate fell and Jack took it quickly.
"Now, this is the key."
Jenny was amazed while looking the plate showing a password in its touch-screen.
"This is amazing. How did you make all of this?"
"We didn't. We just found it like this and tried every possibility until we found the code. Which . . . is this one here."
Jack pointed the password in the other machine next to the one who launched the registration plate. He typed that password in the plate.
"Now, you need to come with me."
Jenny was getting more and more excited.
"You weren't curious to find who created this technology?"
They walked inside the room in the end of the factory. The hole appeared and they could see the stairs. Jack made the first step. Jenny followed him. Jack talked with a lower voice, but because of the eco, his voice could be heard very clearly.
"Yes, we were curious, but we found nothing. None knew a thing about this factory. Many people are afraid of this place, because they think it is radioactive. Strangely, none could tell about the strange plate."
They were getting close to the blue light. The opening closed and Jenny felt a little scared. She could see the door now. Jack explained how it worked.
"The things are simple here. You just enter the password to this thing again."
Jack typed the password in the panel next to the door. The door opened and Jenny could finally see the work of her husband.
"This is wonderful! Which is the one that Marc tried? I don't want to lose time."
Jack showed her the chamber. However, he forgot what had happened there. The pistol was down on the floor and Brian's blood was also there. Jenny was thrilled.
"What is this? Jack?! Have you shot him?!"
Jack's serious face suddenly changed. He tried to convince her.
"No! We would never do that! I will tell you the true story, so just calm down."
Jenny was looking Jack with her sad eyes, ready to launch the tears. Jack explained.
"We wanted to stop Marc from trying the experiment. We told him it was too dangerous, but he didn't listen us. Instead, he threatened us with this pistol . . . Brian didn't want to follow his orders and got shot in his leg. I then had no choice, but to do as he said. And I activated the chamber. I never thought, Marc would be so dedicated to his experiment."
Jenny was listening Jack story and couldn't believe it. The image of her husband in her head was slowly changing. Marc was now evil and a potential murderer. However, she thought it differently.
"I will find and change him. I will bring his kindness back! I will enter the chamber. Please, activate it."
Jack had no intention not to do so. He regulated all the ropes inside the chamber and was sure Jenny was safe. Jack walked to the computer. He saw the look on Jenny's eyes. She was so confident. Jack activated the chamber and it started to shake the same way like before. Jack was acting quite cold. He knew he had to turn the power off after a few minutes and he did so. He then entered the chamber and saw Jenny lying on the floor. She had passed out, just like Marc. Jack didn't feel sorry about her.
"Huh, it was her choice after all. I cried so much for Marc. Why do I even have to care? I guess I should give this body to the doc."
Jack took Jenny's body and put it inside an old car he had bought recently. The coldness in his heart made him feel no emotions. The pain from Marc's loss had changed him. He was driving to the doc's house, while smoking his cigarette.
. . .
The team had already finished its missions. This day they had nothing to do. They were sitting in some concrete and talking about their new plans. Anton was looking at them, hoping he would have a role in it. Scarlett suddenly shouted.
"Someone just appeared in our place in Germany! A new experiment?"
Everyone stood up. Ashley was the first one who talked.
"We need to act! Giuseppe get ready to teleport us!"
While Giuseppe started to make his move, Scarlett shouted again.
"Wait! Wait, someone is here."
Allan realized someone approaching Scarlett.
"It's Ross! He looks different! He is alive . . . and his arms . . ."
Ashley spoke quietly.
"Everyone calm down. His arms are robotic and one looks like chainsaw, but he can do nothing to us. The only one he can touch is Allan. He is 3-dimensional anyway."
The team was looking at Ross. He was running in the direction of Allan. However, Scarlett was nearer. Anton expected Ross to go through Scarlett, but it didn't. Instead only the chainsaw managed to go through Scarlett's chest. None was expecting that. Blood was coming out of her back, while everyone had frozen from the view. None could believe their eyes. Ross's right hand was now a robotic chainsaw. He pulled his chainsaw back from Scarlett's body. She fell on the concrete blocks. She couldn't scream because it happened so fast. After a few seconds, the team started to scream with anger and charge towards Ross. Anton was the only one who was standing on his knees. He still couldn't believe it. Scarlett was dead.
