Chapter 22- Ready to Go

Anton was finally out of the illusion. His eyes turned normal again and he looked confident. The team was curious about his ability. Scarlett asked him first.

"You are back again. So tell us about this power of yours. You seem to have lost your old one."

Anton was ready to join the team.

"I can control my 3-dimensional body, Marc."

"Explain better."

"I was using two minds. I know it is hard to understand, but that is what I feel. It seems, I can change the past."

Allan jumped.

"Hey everyone, you heard that? He can travel in time! Isn't that amazing? So, you can travel anytime you want, or not?"

"I cannot travel in time without using the machine. I am saying that I can control 2 bodies in different dimensions."

The leader reacted. Ashley wanted to know other things.

"Can you tell us what did Derek do with his plan? Is he dead now? What happened?"

"I will tell everything . . . Derek was planning to take my ability. To do that, he needed to stab my heart. Firstly, he took the most important people from me. My wife, my friend Brian and his family and the doctor were all hypnotized. He did that so he could manipulate me. He used them as hostages. I couldn't make any move . . . He would kill all of them if I did. So, I surrendered. He may have put me in a cage with the others. I don't remember anything, before him trying to stab my heart, because I was inside his illusion. Then . . . the unexpected happened."

Everyone was all eyes and ears. Anton continued.

"Jason, killed him. I know you may be confused right now, but I will explain. It seems, Jason was only watching all this time. Like, he wanted to see what Derek would do. Like, he waited till the appropriate time. I don't know . . . maybe, he wanted to surprise me. And he did!"

Ashley didn't agree.

"But, why would Jason act like that? He was helping Derek with his plans. It makes no sense."

"Wait. This team, "A Syndicate" is based on a true mission. We need to protect the people, but not our way. You were right. They exist."

Giuseppe wasn't smoking his cigar for the first time.

"You are telling that, aliens exist? How do you know that?"

"Jason was not normal. I could see from far, he is an alien. And his powers . . . he can do much more than we can do. And suddenly he disappeared in a strong light, before touching me and travel me in time."

Everyone was happy to hear that, but their curiosity grew. John talked.

"It makes sense! Jason could use more than one ability since he was in the team. He never said how many he had! He saw our intention and helped us! I can't believe it!"

He turned to Ashley.

"He was the first "experiment", right?"

Ashley responded happy.

"Yes. He was the first one that came. Then was Derek! He may have actually created this team!"

Scarlett's expression had changed. She had a true smile on her face.

"So, Ashley, it was all set, before you decided to meet everyone that time and make them join us."

Ashley laughed.

"Yes. So, I am not the "Big Mind" here. Hey, Anton. Where is Marc now?"

Anton continued to explain.

"Jason, told me something very strange. He told me, I am the chosen one. And then he touched me. It's strange, because I can't sense anything from Marc yet. I think he might be sleeping."

Ashley reacted.

"I forgot to tell you that we don't need to sleep. It seems our half-4-dimensional bodies have a lot of energy. So, we don't eat. We actually don't need anything, although our bodies have the exact structure as in 3-dimensions."

Allan interfered.

"Well, we are humans. So we can enjoy ourselves a little bit, right Ashley?"

Ashley laughed again.

"Yes, we can . . . We need to analyze your ability in details."

Anton wanted to clear something in his mind.

"Wait. How do you inform about the life of normal humans? I mean, not experiments."

"That is easy. We can also use our computers. To keep us more in touch with this rebel alliance, Derek entered deep web and wrote many stories about us, like we help people in protests, or enter people's fate, but none of them is true. He wrote that we believe in aliens, because we want to spread that thought. I think deep web is the way how Derek learned to be evil. This makes everyone think we are the bad guys and that's exactly what we want. For now we need to be bad with the alliance, they are letting us no choice. In a future, we will show our true intentions . . . Anyway, we have to go now."

Suddenly everything that was surrounding the team changed. All the black surface was gone and they could see land again. They were just outside the building where they saved Anton. It looked like John's ability was disabled. Anton started to feel Marc's presence again.

It was 11:00 PM. Greg was sleeping safe in his house, knowing that Marc's body was healthy. Jack was alone in his small house with only one room and a bathroom. He was smoking a cigarette, because he couldn't sleep. Jack was thinking if Marc was fine at that moment. Brian was sleeping in his bed, together with his wife and his son. Jenny was very confused. She thought she needed to clear her thoughts a little. She went inside the house and fell in her bed.

Although he had his eyes opened for a few minutes, he couldn't see. He then realized his body was shorter and younger. The room he was staying was part of his old house. He remembered. Anton had traveled in his past. He rushed outside the room to see if his mother and father were still there.
