I finished singing and everyone around the fire clapped, except for Allison, of course. "You are amazing, Sav," Alex commented. I felt Ryan kiss my cheek.
"That's my girl!" he exclaimed. I smiled and kissed him back. I looked over at Cayden. He was still laughing with Jazmin,
"Well that relationship isn't gonna last long." Allison whispered into Bella's ear. Jazmin snapped her head in Allison's direction.
"What the hell did you just say?" Jazmin asked with anger dripping from every word she said.
Allison stood up and walked over to where Jaz and Cayden were sitting. "You heard me." she said crossing her arms over her chest. Jazmin stood up as well.
"You really shouldn't mumble, because it's kind of annoying." Jazmin snorted.
"Well, I thought you should know before you get your hopes up." Jazmin took a big step forward and got in Allison's face.
"Bitch please, my cellphone battery lasts longer than your relationships." I snorted and covered my mouth quickly.
Allison swung her fist forward and Jazmin immediately caught it. Jaz slowly twisted her arm in the opposite direction. "Never mess with a military daughter," she punched Allison right in the face.
Allison covered her broken nose and turned her body in a full 180 degrees. She slapped Jazmine across the face. Shit was about to go down. "Oh my god, you fight like a white bitch!" Jazmin tackled her to the ground. Cayden saw it was getting out of hand so he stepped in and tore Jazmin off of Allison.
Allison started walking quickly towards Jazmin so Dean came up and pulled her away from Jazmin by the waist. "Just get her out of here.'' I ordered Dean. He pulled Allison away and took her over by his car to clean her up.
"Let's go for a walk," Cayden told Jazmin. Jaz nodded and slipped her arm through his. They walked over by the water.
I sighed. "What is Jessie going to say when she finds her daughter with bloody knuckles?" Ryan asked me. "I've known Jaz for practically my whole life, she's been in plenty of fights." I reassured him.
"Well, she's damn good,'' Ryan said. I shrugged my shoulders and chuckled.
After about an hour, we all left the bonfire site. "Are you sleeping over tonight?" I asked Ryan as we piled into my mom's car.
"I don't know. Maybe I should go home. Isn't your mom there?" I shrugged my shoulders and buckled my seat belt.
"I guess you're right. Well, we still need to pick out a Halloween costume for Sabrina's party." he nodded his head and backed out of our parking spot.
By Monday, we were all back to our original stance. My mom has finally come home and she has been terrible. This morning she got mad at me because I wouldn't stay home from school to make the house spotless so her new boyfriend can come over for dinner. Let's just say I had to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt today so no one would ask about my fresh bruises.
I got to 4th period, English, and we had a dumb project about To Kill A Mockingbird. "Alright class. Today is the day where we pick partners for the TKAM book." Mr. Matthews told us. He had a bald spot in the middle of his head and a belly that looks like it formed over years and years of alcohol. His teeth had a yellow tint to it, probably by all the coffee he drinks. People say he adds rum to it for a little kick. That's probably the reason he's always so clumsy and says stuff to kids a teacher shouldn't really say. His classroom also always used to have a signature scent that kind of smelt like a public restroom, but that was just my opinion.
"Okay, so partners are..." he started naming off names as I just pretty much droned out everything that was happening. Once he finished naming the partners I looked around hoping my partner would come up to me since I had no idea who he or she was. Just then I felt a presence next to me so I looked up slowly hoping that my new partner was not Dean or one of the bitches of this class. The person standing next to me was none other than Cayden. Great.
