Forgive, But Not Forget

Chapter 22

Thalia felt the disturbance in the winds before they even reached camp. They do'nt usually visit camp this often, (they had already visited last weekend for Capture the Flag) but Artemis went to hunt another monster by herself and since they are only a two towns away from Camp Half-blood, Artemis told them to go. So, grumbling about how there's too many boys, the Hunters of Artemis set on their way.

They were halfway there when she sensed it. It was really sudden. It was the same when Jason, Thalia, or Percy makes a hurricane or a storm. It disrupts the normal wind pattern.

"Thalia, is something wrong?" Thalia started and looked at Phoebe. It seems that she had stopped walking and everyone is looking at her. Thalia shook her head and said, "It's nothing. I think I just felt one of my cousins cause a storm in camp."  Then they continued on their journey.

It was a half hour later that they arrived at Half-blood hill. Thalia rested her hand on the large pinetree that once had housed her soul. Thalia and Phoebe went to the Big house to meet Chiron while the rest of the Hunters went to Artemis' cabin.

As Thalia aproached the porch, she immediately knew something was off. For one thing, Chiron usually greets them when they go to the big house, but the centaur is'nt at his office nor the living room. And there is also a girl, Thalia was'nt sure what her name is, Vicky perhaps?, sitting at one of the couches with her face on her hands. They approached her.

"Um, hey? You know where Chiron is?"

The girl looked up at her, letting Thalia see tears rolling down her face. She has marrone hair and caramel eyes. Her designer clothes and makeup suggest that she's an Aphrodite girl. Except that she's soaked and her makeup is ruined.

The girl gulped and suddenly seemed scared. "H-he's at the infirmary."

"What's going on?" Phoebe asked as Thalia frowned.

The girl bowed her head, refusing eye contact. She did'nt answer, so the two Hunters just left.

"What is up with her?" Thalia asked as they walked away.

Phoebe shrugged. "No idea. Now let's go and meet Chiron. I have some boys to hunt."

Thalia laughed lightly as they entered the infirmary. She found it funny that those words could be translated to another meaning. And it seems Phoebe realized it too, from Thalia's laugh, and, blushing with a scowl,she said. "Oh, shut up."

Which only made Thalia laugh harder.

Percy leaned his elbow on his knee as he sat on one of the beds. His other arm is holding an ice pack behind his head from the machine falling from the tree and hitting him. He stared worriedly at Annabeth in the bed in front of him while Will gave her painkillers and wrapped her in bandage. Chiron stood beside him in centaur form and Ken is unconscious on one of the beds.

The door opened and Percy heared someone laugh. He turned to see Thalia and Phoebe as they froze. They looked at Annabeth who fell asleep while Percy carried her here in the infirmary.

"W-what happened here?" A hint of anger is in Thalia's voice.

Chiron sighed, a weary expression in his brown eyes. "A prank gone haywire and turned into a death trap. Though thankfully, there was no deaths."

"What? Who did this?! Is it the Stolls?!"

"Calm down, child. It's not them." Chiron said soothingly, though there was a hint of wariness, as if afraid of what the daughter of Zues might do if she found out who the culprits are. But Percy ignored his tone.
